Imitation RainSixTONES

Composed by YOSHIKI of X Japan, it’s a track where you can savor YOSHIKI’s signature style, from the piano introduction to the beautiful melodic lines.
With a structure that sharply contrasts stillness and dynamism, and vocals that masterfully navigate a classical, complex melody, the song showcases the evolution of a new era of Johnny’s groups.
100% CourageNYC

Showa-era idol group Hikaru GENJI’s number “Yuuki 100%.” The Heisei version is a cover by NYC, used as the theme song for the film Nintama Rantaro.
Hikaru GENJI’s roller-skate dancing—their elegant skating—was innovative at the time and captivated young people.
NYC’s choreography is cute and looks easy enough for little kids to dance along to.
It’s very friendly and puts a smile on your face! This is exactly what a Heisei version should be—NYC’s very own “Yuuki 100%.”
Glass BoyKinKi Kids

Kinki Kids, a duo of two people from the Kansai region who even share the exact same surname, debuted with the song “Glass Boy.” With lyrics by Takashi Matsumoto and music by Tatsuro Yamashita, it was created by an exceptionally star-studded team.
Although the two were still teenagers at the time of their debut, their vocal ability and expressive power allowed them to brilliantly convey the mature melody and lyrics.
Now that they’re adults, they can bring out the song’s atmosphere even more and continue to perform it.
They performed this song at the 67th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen—the first time they appeared on the program, 19 years after their debut.
Sora-buneTOKIO

The theme song “Sora Fune” (Ship in the Sky) for the drama My Boss My Hero, which starred TOKIO’s vocalist Tomoya Nagase and also featured Yui Aragaki! The drama is a comedy about Maki-o Sakaki, the underboss of a yakuza group played by Nagase, who lies about his age to attend high school.
The song was written and composed by Miyuki Nakajima, who later released her own self-cover.
It’s a bold, cool track that was also selected as the entrance march for the opening ceremony of the 79th National High School Baseball Championship.
It’s love.V6

Ai Nanda, V6’s fifth single, was released in 1997.
The song came about when Koji Tamaki, who was co-starring in a drama with member Yoshihiko Inohara, offered to provide a track.
Tamaki composed the music for this song.
There are multiple versions, including one that starts from the chorus and another that’s much poppier than the original and features rap.
It’s still frequently performed on many music programs and at Johnny’s Countdown live shows.
Believearashi

The song “Believe” is the theme for the film Yatterman, starring group member Sho Sakurai.
In addition to a music video featuring the members, there is a short animated film titled “ARASHI★Tatsunoko animation film of Believe,” produced in collaboration with Tatsunoko Production.
It’s also a track that spotlights a sharp, cool rap segment with lyrics written by Sakurai himself.
