But it’s not summer.TUBE

It’s TUBE’s “Datte Natsu Janai.” It was used as the CM song for the 1993 JRA Summer G Tours and was released the same year as their 17th single.

When you think of summer, you think of TUBE—and when you think of TUBE, you think of summer! 1993 must have been a scorching summer for both the racecourses and TUBE.

HeroAmuro Namie

A cute commercial featuring Masami Nagasawa, who continues as the campaign character from 2023.

The chorus of “Ippen kite mi” (“Come check it out”) from Nagasawa, Ai Mikami, Kuranosuke Sasaki, and others feels so natural.

The background music is Namie Amuro’s “Hero,” which is a perfect fit for this JRA commercial awaiting a new star in the horse racing world!

The LEGEND 2013 JRA commercial: February Stakes, Meisei Opera

In the commercial for the February Stakes in the THE LEGEND series, an original track by Cornelius was featured.

With a melody where every instrument layers in and bursts forth flamboyantly, you can feel the momentum and excitement of the race.

It’s such a compelling piece that it feels like a waste to leave it as a CM-only track—you’ll want to keep riding that energy.

Just as the racehorses run their hearts out, it gives you the power to throw yourself into something with full focus and determination.

JRA HERO IS COMING. “How to Find a HERO” version

HeroAmuro Namie

In the “How to Find Your HERO” segment, Masami Nagasawa and Kuranosuke Sasaki passionately discuss how to find your favorite racehorse.

They say you can look at the horse’s appearance, name, and the way it runs, and encourage people to first visit a racecourse.

In fact, Yuzu’s “3 Count” originally had the title “Out of Range.” There’s an anecdote that when it was chosen as an image song for the JRA, the title was changed because the original phrase wasn’t ideal in the context of horse racing.

The lyrics, which try to affirm one’s way of life by saying, “Every day makes you want to run away or feels futile, but that’s not so bad,” resonate with horse racing, where all-or-nothing gambles unfold.

JRA CM “HERO IS COMING.” Version 30 seconds

Horse racing is full of drama, and each era brings horses whose achievements earn them the title of hero.

This commercial focuses on the many heroes who have left their mark on racing history, inviting us to reflect on the forms of greatness that have been cherished.

It highlights a variety of heroes—not only those who won, but also those who broke conventions, stood alone in noble solitude, or continued to be loved even in defeat.

The song that further underscores the power of these heroes is Namie Amuro’s “Hero.” Its message is about drawing strength from the hero within one’s own heart, and it also evokes the idea that there are many different ways to love.
