At recent kindergarten graduation ceremonies, more places are creating message DVDs from the children and playing them at the venue, or presenting them to the school.

The idea I’d like to introduce this time is also to create a message DVD, but not just with messages from the children—it’s an idea to make a DVD with messages from the entire family.

The kindergarten that took care of the children is also a place that holds deep meaning for the parents, who were surely very grateful as well.

So let’s record your appreciation together with the children on a DVD! The teachers will surely be delighted.

The presentation of graduation certificates is almost always part of a preschool graduation ceremony.

Often, the chairperson or principal reads the certificate to each child and then presents it to them.

Here, we’d like to introduce an idea for sharing a message with parents.

After receiving their certificate, children can express gratitude to their parents or talk about their dreams—like what they want to be when they grow up—which would be wonderful.

If the program only lists the certificate presentation, parents will be pleasantly surprised and deeply moved by the unexpected messages.

Please consider incorporating this idea.

A message from the teacher to the children

At graduation, many teachers wonder what words to share with children as they spread their wings toward the future, hoping to send a heartfelt message.

You want to give a message that stays with both the children and their guardians.

It’s recommended to briefly include memories from their time at the kindergarten, episodes from events, and their hopes for elementary school.

Also, by ending with words of gratitude to the guardians for their daily support of childcare, you can make it a truly wonderful message!

Letter to the homeroom teacher

[Graduation from kindergarten] I'm writing a letter to the homeroom teacher 😊
Letter to the homeroom teacher

On the day of the graduation ceremony, many parents and children want to express their gratitude to the teachers who have taken care of them.

Writing a letter on that day is a great way to share those feelings.

Putting it into a letter helps your child relax and take their time, so they can freely draw and write while looking back on memories with their teachers—and you can really feel your child’s affection for them.

When preparing paper, plain white sheets are recommended because they make your child’s drawings stand out.

If your child has trouble writing the teacher’s name or the message, please work together with them and lend a hand.

Using a DVD to convey a message of gratitude can add an element of surprise and might be truly moving.

Words of thanks that are hard to say face-to-face out of shyness can be easier to express through a DVD.

When creating a video on a DVD to share your message of appreciation, I recommend deciding in advance who it’s for and what message you want to communicate.

Since there’s editing involved, set a recording deadline and divide tasks among several people—this way you’ll gather a variety of ideas and end up with a wonderful DVD.

The time for announcing future dreams on graduation day becomes a moment when everyone can feel hope and growth for the future, doesn’t it? Sharing one’s thoughts in a special setting is also a valuable experience.

If teachers ask the children in advance about their future dreams—what they want to be when they grow up and what they’re interested in—and rehearse with them, they’ll likely feel relaxed and ready to present on the day.

To keep presentations simple, it’s recommended to allot about 1–2 minutes per child.

Bouquet with a secret message

This idea hides a little surprise that you won’t notice when you first receive the bouquet.

The trick is a message written on the inside of the colored paper base.

At first it looks like an ordinary bouquet, but in a quiet moment you discover a heartwarming note like “Congratulations” or “Thank you”—a lovely touch.

The flowers themselves are made using stamps created from straws, but you can also make them with origami or by combining round stickers—feel free to express it however you like.

If you’re looking for a heartfelt gift, please feel free to use this as inspiration.
