A rainbow made with torn-paper collage
https://www.tiktok.com/@hoikusi1/video/7421813181644950805Let’s make a rainbow wall decoration using chigirie, a collage technique that depicts pictures with small, torn pieces of paper.
Prepare red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple paper, and tear them by hand.
Once all the paper is torn, paste the pieces according to the sketch.
Although this idea takes a bit of time to create, it results in a warm, handmade feel that makes it perfect for a preschool graduation ceremony.
It would also be nice for current students and teachers to work together to make it as one of the graduation gifts.
Butterflies and a rainbow wall display
https://www.tiktok.com/@shokaaijien/video/7481194017670089992This idea features a rainbow in the background with butterflies created using children’s photos and handprints.
The child-turned-butterfly holding a flower is also adorable.
A wall display combining a rainbow—symbolizing hope and a bridge—and butterflies—evoking brightness and freedom—is perfect for a kindergarten graduation ceremony.
Why not create it using the graduates’ photos and handprints? Have the children stamp their handprints in their favorite colors to make vibrant butterflies.
Wall display using a rainbow template
https://www.tiktok.com/@popo_hoiku_shop/video/7481662252341398792Here’s an idea for a three-dimensional, cute rainbow wall display.
First, print a large rainbow template and laminate it.
Then, glue on tissue-paper flowers to form the rainbow.
Create fluffy clouds at the base of the rainbow as well.
Use this rainbow as the centerpiece, and decorate around it with cheerful illustrations of children and the words “Congratulations on your graduation” to create a lovely wall display.
You can download the template from the POPO SHOP website.
Wall of colorful balloons
https://www.tiktok.com/@hoikushi_bank/video/7137991363836071170Would you like to make a hot-air balloon and rainbow wall decoration using colorful construction paper? First, cut your preferred colors—such as red, blue, yellow, green, and purple—into circles.
Fold each circle in half and glue the halves together to form a hemispherical shape.
Make the passenger basket from construction paper as well, then connect it to the hemispheres with three pieces of yarn to complete the balloon.
For the rainbow, cut circular paper pieces in half and layer the halves in an arch to form the rainbow.
Arrange the balloon and rainbow on a sky-blue background, and add white clouds to finish a bright and refreshing wall decoration!
Rainbow dove carrying hope

Perfect for the season when little graduates are taking off! Here’s a wall decoration of rainbow doves you can make with children using origami.
First, place the origami paper with the back side up and fold it into a triangle so the corner peeks out just a little.
Fold the corner up toward the edge so it sticks out slightly.
Open just one layer, then use the corner as a pivot and fold it in half.
The corner that sticks out will be the head.
Fold the two corners upward like wings to match the head.
Make an inside reverse fold on the head corner to form the beak, and you’re done! Fold lots in seven colors with the children and display them like a rainbow.
A rainbow made with origami rings

Here’s a rainbow you can make with linked origami rings.
You’ll need colored origami paper, glue, and scissors.
First, cut each color of paper lengthwise into six equal strips.
Next, apply glue to the end of a strip to form a ring, then keep linking the rings together.
Be careful not to glue the flat surfaces together and not to squash the rings into teardrop shapes.
Finally, attach the connected rings to the wall in color order, and you’re done.
It’s an idea that also works well combined with other crafts.
Give it a try and have fun making it!
Rainbow arch of rainbow-colored pom-poms made from tissue paper

Let’s decorate the graduation ceremony in seven colors! Here are wall decoration ideas using rainbow pom-poms.
Make two bundles of tissue paper pom-poms using seven colors arranged in a gradient.
Fold each bundle accordion-style in strips about 2 cm wide, then fold in half to mark the center.
Using about 30 cm of string, tie both accordion-folded bundles at the center.
On the color that will be at the top, tie the end of the leftover string to make a loop.
Connect the two bundles with string so the colors form a continuous gradient.
Attach a hanging string and tie it into a loop.
Round off the corners of the accordion, then open it up to finish! They look lovely arranged in an arch, or combined with larger pom-poms and balloons.
