flash mob

A flash mob, where a large group starts performing all at once, is a great surprise for a preschool graduation party! When the adults suddenly begin dancing, the children are amazed and get excited, wondering what’s about to happen.

While timing and formations need to be coordinated in advance, the dancing itself can be practiced individually.

And because you’re dancing with a big group, there’s no need to feel pressured to make everything perfect.

There are also classic songs commonly used for flash mobs, so use those as a reference and give it a try!

Balloon release

A balloon release is when each person holds one balloon and, at the signal of “3, 2, 1,” everyone lets go at once, sending the balloons into the sky.

Watching a mass of balloons rise skyward is captivating and becomes a wonderful memory.

Playing background music can make the moment even more moving.

However, there are rules regarding the type of gas used in the balloons and the materials of the balloons themselves.

If you plan to do a balloon release, be sure to research thoroughly in advance to avoid any problems.

Sketchbook Relay

If you want to create a touching moment at the graduation party, this “Sketchbook Relay” is perfect! Record video messages to the teacher written in a single sketchbook, and edit them so the sketchbook is passed along like a relay.

Then, at the end, present the actual sketchbook as a gift.

An album packed with memories will surely become a treasure for the teacher.

It would be wonderful if the children, who are about to soar into the future, and their teacher could keep these memories in their hearts forever.

An arch made by parents and teachers

Here’s a surprise idea I highly recommend for the exit at the preschool graduation party! Have the adults each hold a flower and form a long flower arch.

Let the children walk through it.

It’s a simple idea—just holding flowers—but it’s very moving, and kids who love going through tunnels will definitely enjoy it.

Using real flowers can make cleanup difficult, so I think artificial flowers are better.

These days, there are lots of lovely artificial flowers sold at 100-yen shops, so be sure to check them out!

Slideshow

A great way to look back on everything at once is with a slideshow.

A slideshow that packs your memories tightly together projects the children’s precious moments one after another on the screen, letting you feel the nostalgia and really sense that graduation is here.

As shouts of “It’s ___!” ring out from the kids, teachers and parents who feel how much the children have grown might find themselves tearing up.

The tone of a slideshow can be fun or moving depending on the background music, so go ahead and create one in your own style!

How about this for a message board for the homeroom teacher? We made a graduation album.

There’s no one who wouldn’t be happy to receive this, right? It’s an essential item for graduation season: a message board filled with notes from everyone.

Even as time passes, looking at that board will bring back memories of those days.

Decorate it cutely and give the most heartfelt message board as a gift.

We recommend leaving a space to attach photos of the children.

Since it will be passed around among parents to write on, try coordinating by exchanging contact information or setting work days to create the board.

Decorations themed around the class name are also really cute.

Even at parties like birthday celebrations and welcome parties, just having a welcome board instantly lifts the mood.

For a graduation party, try displaying a fully crafted, showpiece welcome board prepared by the organizers! As a plus-one idea, you could have attendees write a brief “today’s enthusiasm” message on the board—it’s also handy for confirming attendance.

Another recommendation is to take instant photos of everyone in their party outfits and stick them on the welcome board in order.

If the entrance area gets lively, the whole party will, so give it a try!
