Grape craft ideas to enjoy in childcare! Have fun making autumn fruits (11–20)
Grapes with stickers
When it comes to autumn fruits, grapes are a must, right? So, how about making grapes as an autumn craft? Beforehand, have an adult cut grape shapes and branches out of construction paper and glue them together.
Then let the children stick round stickers or circles cut from construction paper on top to complete the grapes.
The process of peeling and sticking the stickers helps train their fine motor skills.
Having a few types of stickers ready makes it fun for the children to choose, and it also creates a more vibrant finish if you use the crafts for wall decorations.
Drawing of grape paper chains and raffia (lily-of-the-valley) tape
These are wall decorations featuring grapes and persimmons that are in season in autumn! For the grapes, cut colored construction paper into thin strips, make them into rings, and glue them onto a grape-shaped backing.
It’s also a great idea to prepare the ring parts in advance and have the children stick them on.
For the persimmons, simply wind lily tape around a piece of thick paper cut into a persimmon shape.
The direction and number of wraps change the color intensity and patterns, so it’ll be fun to try different variations.
Once each piece is finished, decorate the wall together with tree branches made from construction paper.
Grapes in a rice straw wrapper
Let’s try making grapes using a dauber.
Soak a dauber with paint thinned with plenty of water, then stamp it onto drawing paper with a light dabbing motion.
Once you’ve finished stamping, draw the stem, attach a leaf made from construction paper, and you’re done.
You can buy ready-made daubers, but they’re easy to make: stuff leftover cotton or fabric into gauze and secure it with a rubber band.
If you can, prepare them before the activity.
If you want the stamped shapes to look more clearly like grapes, you can cut the stamped area into a grape cluster shape and paste it onto a separate backing sheet.
Torn-paper collage grapes

Let’s make grapes—the quintessential autumn fruit—using a torn-paper collage.
First, draw grapes on construction paper and prepare the surface so the torn origami pieces can be pasted on.
Together with the children, tear purple origami paper into various shapes and colors, then enjoy sticking the pieces onto the drawing or spreading glue and arranging them freely.
Tearing and pasting the paper stimulates the children’s senses and results in works that showcase each child’s unique sensibility.
Using two shades of origami paper is recommended, as it helps express light and dark.
Grapes with balloon stamps
This is a grape craft using balloons that kids love.
Inflate a balloon, dip it in paint, and stamp to create grape shapes.
Once the paint dries, cut out the grape shapes and attach a paper leaf and stem to finish.
It’s best to use the paint without thinning it so the color goes on well.
You can use just one color, but using multiple colors like purple, navy, and pink will make the result more vibrant and three-dimensional.
Inflate the balloons only a little so they’re easy for children to hold.
