Cat-ear headband made with yarn
https://www.tiktok.com/@mery.jp/video/7289366774162803975These are soft, fluffy headbands with a pleasant feel—perfect for Halloween costumes or for kids who love cats.
You’ll need a headband, wire, yarn, glue, ribbon, pearl stickers, and small bells.
Apply glue to both ends of the headband and wrap the yarn around it.
Shape the wire into ears, attach them to the headband, and secure them by wrapping yarn around while gluing in place.
Finally, decorate with ribbons, bells, and pearl stickers, and you’re done!
Cat ears made with faux fur

It would be delightful to wear a headband with a fluffy, real-cat-like feel, wouldn’t it? This time, let’s make some cute cat ears using a pattern and faux fur fabric.
What you’ll need: a pattern, faux fur fabric, lining fabric, duct tape, pins, and a sewing machine.
Store-bought ones are nice too, but the warmth and flexibility of handmade items are really appealing.
Choosing fabrics with your child and spending time making them will become a cherished memory as well.
These will be a hit at recitals or any event where you can dress up!
Cat ears made from newspaper

Just fold with a familiar material—newspaper! Here’s a simple method for making cat ears.
All you need are newspaper, scissors, and glue.
It finishes like a hat, so after you’re done, you can wear it on your head and play at being a cat.
The key is to sharpen the sides of the hat so they stand up like ears! It also sounds fun to customize it by coloring with crayons or paint, or by gluing on torn pieces of origami paper.
Give it a try!
Musical Instrument Crafting: Guitar

We’d like to introduce a DIY musical-instrument craft: a guitar you can play once it’s finished.
Prepare four paper cups, three rubber bands, a felt-tip pen, tape, and scissors.
First, place the bottoms of two paper cups together and secure them with tape so they don’t shift.
Next, make three slits in the rim of each of the remaining two paper cups.
Insert these slit cups onto the taped-together cups, and hook the three rubber bands onto the slits so they don’t cross over like an X.
Finally, pluck the rubber bands to check that they make sound—that’s it! The steps are simple, so give it a try!
Cinderella-style costume

Kids who adore princesses will be thrilled! Here are some costume ideas inspired by Cinderella.
When we think of princesses, many of us picture someone beautiful, strong, straightforward, and kind.
They’re a special figure that children look up to.
This time, let’s make a Cinderella-style costume using colored plastic bags.
You’ll need white and light blue colored plastic bags, tape, double-sided tape, scissors, holographic tape, white vinyl tape, and pink tape.
Give it a try and incorporate these ideas!
A pointed felt hat

Let’s make a hat using soft materials! Here are some ideas for a pointed felt hat.
This is perfect for those who want to use pointed hats in sports day events but are looking for materials other than paper.
In the video, it’s made for Halloween, but by changing the colors and motifs, it looks like it could be used for sports day as well.
What you’ll need: a hat made of felt, adhesive-backed felt, scissors, and a pen.
Cut the adhesive-backed felt into your favorite motifs and create your own original hat.
Transformation Belt

It’s sure to get kids excited! Here are some ideas for a transformation belt.
When you hear “transformation belt,” many people probably think of heroes from tokusatsu team shows.
This time, let’s make a transformation belt that anyone—from kids to adults—can admire! Since you just wear it around your waist, it’s perfect as a sports day costume, too.
Simply putting it on will be like a magic item that instantly boosts children’s spirits! Watching them run around fully in hero mode will surely bring smiles to everyone at the venue.
