Does it snow where you live?
I imagine some of you live in areas where heavy snowfall makes shoveling a challenge, while others have only seen snow on TV or in photos.
Still, no matter who you are, when you hear “snowman,” you probably picture a cute, round, chubby little snowman.
In this article, I’d like to share ideas for making these adorable snowmen.
We’ve included a wide range—from quick and easy projects to ideas you can take your time with—so please give them a try!
Note: Since the items made by children are treated as works, we refer to them as “creations” in the text.

This is a fun snowman craft where the paint bleeds into patterns! Brush water onto the surface of a snowman-shaped piece of construction paper, then dab on your favorite colors of paint.
Once the paint dries, draw the snowman’s face and glue on a paper bucket to finish.
Prepare paints and construction paper in various colors so children can enjoy choosing their colors.
The way the paint bleeds changes depending on how much water you mix with it, so be sure to observe the differences.

February still brings plenty of cold weather, and some areas even see snowfall.
Let’s make the most of the season with a snowman-themed craft! All you need are a paper plate and construction paper—both available at 100-yen shops, so it’s easy to get started.
Fold the paper plate in half to make the body, and cut out a head shape from white construction paper.
Attach the head to the body, then make a hat from construction paper in your favorite color.
Use different colored paper to create mitten shapes and add patterns, then draw the face and body.
This craft looks cute displayed in a room, and it’s also fun to play with by gently rocking it.
The charm of this idea is that you can enjoy not only the making process but also the finished piece afterward.
Wobbly Snowman

Let’s make a wobbling snowman with a paper plate! Here’s the idea.
You’ll need: a paper plate, two circles cut from white construction paper, a hat piece and arm pieces cut from construction paper in your favorite colors, glue, scissors, and a pen.
First, glue together the pre-made parts.
Next, draw the snowman’s face with the pen.
Finally, fold the paper plate in half and glue the snowman onto the plate—that’s it! When you gently press the plate with your finger, the snowman will sway back and forth.
It’s sure to be soothing to watch.
