Does it snow where you live?

I imagine some of you live in areas where heavy snowfall makes shoveling a challenge, while others have only seen snow on TV or in photos.

Still, no matter who you are, when you hear “snowman,” you probably picture a cute, round, chubby little snowman.

In this article, I’d like to share ideas for making these adorable snowmen.

We’ve included a wide range—from quick and easy projects to ideas you can take your time with—so please give them a try!

Note: Since the items made by children are treated as works, we refer to them as “creations” in the text.

Let the snowman join your pretend play! Here’s a fluffy cotton snowman craft idea.

You’ll need a mesh strainer bag, cotton, pipe cleaners, scissors, a plastic bottle cap, round stickers, and craft glue.

First, turn the mesh bag inside out and fill it with cotton.

Tie the opening of the bag and trim off any excess.

Next, add a pipe-cleaner scarf and place a bottle-cap hat on top—your snowman is complete! For an even cuter finish, use round stickers to make the eyes and nose.

Let me introduce a snowman made with wrapped yarn.

You will need: a paper cup, white yarn, red yarn, tissue paper, a wooden skewer or chopstick, colored construction paper, silver origami paper, cotton, craft glue, glue paste, and scissors.

First, crumple two sheets of tissue into balls.

Put some craft glue on your hands and roll the tissue balls between your palms.

Next, wrap yarn around each tissue ball.

Make two of these.

Finally, connect the two balls with the wooden skewer and add a red yarn scarf.

Place the snowman on a stand made from the paper cup, and it’s complete!
