When it comes to people with “Tarō” in a fruit’s name, many children will surely think of Momotarō! But in this song, Kudamono Tarō, not only Momotarō appears—lots of characters whose names pair fruits with Tarō show up.
The lyrics were written by picture-book author Yume Okuhara, and the music is by Bear Ground, who has created many songs for Okaasan to Issho.
The story of the song is that all the various “Kudamono Tarō” born from different fruits gather together to make delicious juice.
It’s also recommended to perform it as a skit for events like school plays, with everyone becoming different “Kudamono Tarōs”!
