Gather tapioca (boba) straws, beads, masking tape, and scissors, and let’s get started.

Cut the tip of a tapioca straw at an angle, then tape it to a wall with masking tape, adjusting the angle as you go.

Add guards at the ends of the straws so the rolling beads don’t fall out.

The key is to tweak the angles so the beads roll smoothly.

Why not try making cardboard art—artistic pieces you can create just by peeling layers off cardboard? It’s easy once you learn a few tips, so it’s great for summer vacation projects, too.

First, when choosing cardboard, look at the cross-section and pick one with fine, closely spaced corrugation.

Also check both sides: the side where the corrugation texture shows through on the surface is easier to peel, so use that side.

After sketching your design, use a craft knife to cut the surface.

Once all the cuts are made, mist it with water and let it sit for a few minutes, then peel off the sections you want with tweezers.

Let it dry, and you’re done.
