[Kiss] Classic songs about kissing: recommended popular tracks (31–40)
A Bouquet of Kisses in the RainImai Miki

This song was used as the opening theme for Nippon TV’s anime YAWARA!, but it was never released as a single.
It’s included on the album retour, so be sure to check it out along with the other tracks! The composer is KAN, and he perfectly captures singer Miki Imai’s vocal tone and style—it really feels like a masterpiece.
The song’s motif is a marriage proposal, but to me it also conveys a sense of “youth that never ends.” How did it sound to you?
KISSIMP.

Released as a digital single in November 2025, this track was produced as the lead song for the second album, “MAGenter.” It’s a mysterious love song where secrets and true feelings intertwine, featuring a modern, low-end-heavy sound and a dark mood.
The lyrics portray an irreversible surge of emotion, weaving danger and sensuality together with exquisite balance.
A stylish number that symbolizes a new phase for the group.
Beast KISSMelody Chubak

Melody Chubak is a half-Canadian, half-Japanese singer-songwriter.
Many of you might know her from her days as a child actress on the TV show Tensai TV-kun.
Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is Kemonokiss.
Musically, it’s crafted in a gothic-style R&B vein, similar to the recent trend set by Sam Smith’s Unholy.
Be sure to check it out.
kissfayray

Fayray’s “Kuchizuke” portrays the aching, painful state of putting on a brave face after a heartbreaking breakup.
Released in 2004, the song was chosen as the theme for the drama “Ai no Solea.” The lyrics convey a palpable sense of someone who can’t forget their ex and acts tough, yet is deeply hurting and wounded inside.
It’s a song I’d recommend to anyone trying to get over a breakup by staying strong, while secretly wishing someone would understand what they’re going through.
Do we just have to wait for a kiss?HKT48

It was released in 2017 as HKT48’s 10th single.
Hana Matsuoka served as the center for the song, and it reached No.
1 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.
The song is about a pure and cute girl who wants to kiss but doesn’t know how, wondering if it’s okay for her to make the first move.

I Will Get Your KissNakagawa Akinori

Singer-songwriter Akinori Nakagawa is known for his strikingly high vocal tone and sharply defined vocal embellishments.
He is currently active as a musical theater actor as well, and his exceptional singing ability is highly regarded within the musical theater world.
Speaking of Akinori Nakagawa’s signature songs… surely many people think of “I Will Get Your Kiss,” don’t they? While retaining a touch of Japanese pop sensibility, the track weaves in authentic R&B elements, resulting in an exceptionally sweet finish.
A KISS that’s not as impressive as it soundsNogizaka 46

Even when the A-side is the same song, idol CDs often include a different track on the B-side.
This song is included as the B-side on Type-B of the single “Boku wa Boku o Suki ni Naru.” The lyrics are by Yasushi Akimoto, producer of Nogizaka46.
The line “I was really looking forward to that kiss, but it wasn’t such a big deal after all” has just the right amount of heart-fluttering charm to tickle not only girls’ hearts but boys’ as well! While the lyrics alone might make you blush, the bright, upbeat arrangement ties it all together beautifully.
A must-listen, even if you’re not a fan.
