Ninna Nanna (feat. Miho Nakayama)Night Tempo
Right now, a city pop boom is happening in Japan.
The pioneer said to have sparked this movement is Night Tempo, a leading DJ from Korea.
He’s the originator of the genre known as future funk and has produced numerous iconic city pop tracks, including his re-edit of Mariya Takeuchi’s “Plastic Love.” He continues to re-edit Japanese songs from the 1980s, so be sure to check out his work.
