[Men] Which songs are more likely to score 100 at karaoke? Carefully selected easy-to-sing songs (101–110)

As time goes bysawada kenji

This is Kenji Sawada’s 14th single, released in August 1975.

With its clearly defined, easy-to-follow melody and a relaxed, singable tempo, it’s a quintessential example of a Showa-era, 1970s hit.

As long as you set the key correctly, almost anyone should be able to aim for a high score relatively easily.

However, to sing it with the expressive power that approaches Julie’s performance in the original, you’ll need a fair amount of vocal skill.

So if you’re going to sing it, don’t just aim for a high score—try to deliver a performance that captivates your listeners!

By the time of the Christmas carolsInagaki Junichi

This is Junichi Inagaki’s 27th single, released in October 1992.

It’s such a classic among J-pop Christmas songs that it hardly needs any explanation! I doubt there’s anyone who hasn’t heard it.

In fact, as of December 2023, it remains Inagaki’s biggest hit.

Of course, the primary reason for its massive success is the song’s inherent appeal, but it’s also very karaoke-friendly, which has helped many people sing it over the years.

The melody is very easy to sing as well, so when you perform it, pay attention to how you handle each phrase—where to hold notes, where to cut them, and so on.

pure whiteFuji Kaze

Fujii Kaze – “masshiro” (pure white) [Official Audio]
pure whiteFuji Kaze

Fujii Kaze is known for his stylish, R&B-centered sound, but this work comes together with a different vibe than usual.

It leans heavily into acoustic qualities, and the vocal lines are arranged to be calm and even, much like dream pop.

As a result, the range is low, and there’s no appearance of complex melodic rises and falls—such as ad-libs and other embellishments.

For a Fujii Kaze song, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say this is among the easiest to sing.

helm’N bass10-FEET

10-FEET – helm’N bass (Asahi Super Dry × 3×3.EXE PREMIER Support Song)
helm'N bass10-FEET

10-FEET is a three-piece rock band known for their wide-ranging musicality, and their momentum has really been building lately.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is “helm’N bass.” Although 10-FEET haven’t showcased many reggae-tinged tracks recently, the reggae sound makes a comeback here.

That said, it only appears in the intro and the ending, while the overall track is wrapped up as catchy alternative rock.

It’s easy to sing along to, so be sure to check it out.

If I sing to the sky175R

This is the second major-label single by the Japanese punk rock band 175R, released in April 2003.

Incidentally, 175R made their first appearance on the 54th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen on New Year’s Eve that year with this song.

It’s a straightforward rock tune in the best possible way, both rhythmically and melodically, so I think it’s a good one for anyone to aim for a perfect 100 at karaoke.

To shoot for 100, be careful not to lose the timing at the break where the vocals come in right after the intro, study the slightly rolled Rs in the singer’s pronunciation, and note that the vocal melody actually spans a wider range than you might expect—so if you’re not confident with high notes, adjust the key accordingly.

The delivery is fast and almost like a rapid-fire monologue, so it might be wise to plan your breathing spots in advance as well.

Baby, Please Burn Out9mm Parabellum Bullet

9mm Parabellum Bullet is a band that has gained popularity with their loud, aggressive sound.

They’re at a point where it wouldn’t be surprising to call them veterans of the Japanese rock scene, yet they haven’t changed their musical approach and continue to energize the scene with a consistent style.

Among their songs, “Baby, Please Burn Out” is particularly easy to aim for a perfect score with.

While it gives a loud and somewhat intense impression, the vocal line is surprisingly simple, and it doesn’t demand an extreme amount of power.

As long as you keep your pitch steady, it’s definitely a song where you can go for 100, so be sure to check it out.

domestic violenceAdo

Ado’s masterpiece “Domestic de Violence” is striking for its decadent melody.

Frankly, this isn’t one of the easier songs to score a perfect 100 on among the many available tracks.

That said, for an Ado song, it’s relatively easy to sing.

While it does include some slightly shouty sections, the melody doesn’t jump around excessively, making it harder to go off-pitch.

In addition, most of the falsetto parts can usually be handled with chest voice.

So if you have solid fundamental vocal technique, you can definitely aim for a perfect score.
