Telephone game

When it comes to classic large-group recreation, “Telephone” is a staple! Participants line up in a single row, and the prompt is whispered from the person at the front all the way to the last person.
If the last person can state the prompt accurately, you win! But it’s surprisingly hard, and most of the time the prompt changes into something funny along the way (lol).
Lately there are lots of fun variations, like the “Earphone-Blasting Telephone Game,” where you play while listening to loud music, and the “Gesture Telephone Game,” which mixes in charades.
Try making your own original rules and have fun playing!
Spoon Relay

Let’s try playing the ‘ladle relay,’ where you balance a ping-pong ball on a ladle and carry it.
Prepare a cooking ladle and a ping-pong ball.
You can easily get both at a 100-yen shop.
Set up a turnaround point and run a relay without dropping the ping-pong ball.
If you go too fast, the ball will fall, and the curve at the turnaround point needs extra caution too.
Reaction Game

Let’s play with color markers! Here’s a reaction game idea.
It’s perfect for anyone who wants to get kids moving and playing together.
Arrange colorful markers in a circle and place a marker or token in the center—then you’re ready to go.
When the teacher gives the signal, participants circle around the center.
You can make it more fun by adding variations, like switching direction when the teacher claps.
It’s a simple game where players try to find the marker that matches the color of the one the teacher raises along with the signal.
Copycat Animals

Here’s a copycat animal game that kids of different ages can enjoy while moving their bodies.
Along with a piano melody, the teacher says the name of an animal and imitates it.
The children enjoy moving like the animal in their own way, at a level that suits their age.
You might even see the younger children copying the movements of the older ones.
It could also be fun to ask the children what animals they can think of as you go along.
This copycat animal play is a great way to get kids moving indoors—give it a try!
Plastic Bottle Bowling

Let us introduce PET bottle bowling, an easy game to enjoy at parties and more.
Line up plastic bottles like bowling pins, then throw a ball and try to knock them down.
Compete by seeing how many bottles you can topple.
It’s a good idea to adjust the weight of the ball according to the players’ ages.
You can also put a little water in the bottles for added challenge and excitement.
Writing point values on the bottles and competing for scores, or playing in teams, can make it even more fun!
