On the first day, “MUSIC ON THE STREET” takes place across eight venues in the central downtown area, including Marugamemachi and in front of Takamatsu Station; on the second day, “MUSIC BY THE SEA” unfolds along the waterfront at Sunport—letting visitors enjoy both the city and the sea. A diverse lineup of performers from all genres brings color to street corners. Scheduled for May 2026, it is being organized in collaboration with UNESCO International Jazz Day 2026.

Sanuki ConnectKagawa Prefecture on Sunday, 5/17
Sanuki Connect 2026 is a daytime music and networking party held at the Sanuki Pia Learning Hub (in front of JR Kōzai Station) in Sanuki City, Kagawa Prefecture. In addition to gourmet foods from around the world, live performances, DJs, idols, and comedy, there will be a talk show by entrepreneurs, art exhibitions, and an English camp experience to interact with international guests. Aiming to revitalize the local economy and become the most global festival in Japan, it will be held with free admission on May 17, 2026.

Sound-Viewing Band FestSunday, 5/31, Kagawa Prefecture
This is a music event held in the Small Hall of High Staff Hall (Kan’onji Civic Hall) in Kan’onji City, Kagawa Prefecture, featuring a “big gathering of local bands.” It is organized by Rock & Roll Forever and co-hosted by High Staff Hall (Kan’onji Civic Hall), and will mark its 6th edition in 2026. Tickets are all general admission, priced at 800 yen, with re-entry permitted. In May 2026, local bands from Kan’onji will come together for this event.

SAKAIDE MUSIC STREETMonday, 7/20 – Kagawa Prefecture

Centered around the Sakaide City Hall, the event will take place across five venues—Akiyama Gakki (Akiyama Music Store), LET’S, Coffee Factory Sepia, and Sakaide Civic Hall—featuring a wide range of genres including rock, jazz, folk, and wind ensemble music. Artists with ties to Sakaide, including Keiichi Sokabe, the Sakaide City Tourism Ambassador, will perform. The event will be held on July 20, 2026 under the banner “Don’t Stop Music SAKAIDE.”
