Spring Music Festival in Eastern Japan [2026]

With “From Sorrow to Joy” as our motto, this event lets everyone learn and reflect on disaster recovery through a music festival. While feeling the richness of nature, let’s light our shared hopes with a candle-night and cheer on Fukushima through music.

This event was launched to reinvigorate Fukushima after the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear accident led to a sharp decline due to harmful rumors. Held in a hot spring resort town, it’s an event you can fully enjoy—not only music, but also hot springs, food, and sightseeing. And since it takes place in a hot spring area, accommodation plans are available as well, so why not enjoy all that Iizaka Onsen has to offer?

This festival has a slightly unusual style: an outdoor event on a special stage beside the market near the port. It’s held with the hope of sharing the beauty of Toyama Bay, its delicious fish and food culture, and bringing music to even more people. The concept is “a festival created by everyone, overflowing with smiles.”

This is an event hosted by AAB Akita Asahi Broadcasting, a television station in Akita Prefecture. To promote regional revitalization and share the appeal of Akita’s traditional festivals and customs, performances will be given by artists connected to Akita and by artists who support the initiative. There will even be a free online stream, so those who can’t attend in person can still make it in time! The stream will also feature the Akita Kanto Festival and the Nishimonai Bon Odori, so if you haven’t seen them before, be sure to check it out.

GREEN FLASH Fes is held at a resort facility in Fukui Prefecture, set against the backdrop of the sea. A “green flash” is the moment when a green light appears as the sun sinks into the ocean, and legend has it that seeing it brings good luck. With your favorite music as the soundtrack, it’s an event where participants can spend their time freely—lying on the grass while gazing at the vast sky and ocean, or enjoying delicious food. There’s also a fully equipped campground nearby, so how about adding it to your travel plans?

Kofu Jazz Street is an event launched with the goal of community development. It’s a jazz event where you can freely stroll between live performances held on the same day at four long-established, historic venues: Sakuraza, Cotton Club, Saryo Fugetsudo, and ALONE. Another feature is that it’s held twice a year, in spring and autumn.
