[For Elementary School Students] Me Quiz: A Collection of Quiz Questions About Yourself

A “self-quiz” is a set of quiz questions about yourself.

Let’s take little things that might feel a bit embarrassing to say in a self-introduction, or that might make people think “so what?”, and turn them into quiz questions to enjoy!

A self-quiz is perfect for class recreation.

If there are many participants, you can split into groups, or write answers on paper—both sound fun.

You might discover unexpected sides of a best friend you thought you knew well.

And you may even find common ground with someone you haven’t talked to much.

It’s a fun quiz!

What’s your favorite food?

What's your favorite food?

Isn’t this the most classic question? If you spend lunchtime together, you might naturally figure it out.

It’s easy to notice—and remember—when someone gets excited depending on the school lunch menu.

Some people might even feel a little embarrassed that their favorite foods are totally obvious!

What do you want the most right now?

What do you want the most right now?

Right now, what do you want most…

a game, a toy, or maybe shoes or clothes? People probably fall into two groups: those who struggle to answer and those who reply instantly.

When you think you might really get it, you can’t help wanting something pricey or something you wouldn’t normally be able to buy for yourself, right?

For summer vacation homework, are you the type who does it first or the type who does it last?

For summer vacation homework, are you the type who does it first or the type who does it last?

Wouldn’t this be something that splits opinions? Some people think, “I want to do it first—I have to…” yet before they know it, summer vacation is already nearing its end.

There might also be those who finish a little bit each day, evenly from the very beginning of the break to the very end.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

What would you do if you won the lottery?

I won’t say how much you’d win, but let’s imagine you got a large sum of money.

Some people would buy whatever they want, giving in to their desires, while others would be practical and save it for the future.

It’s fun to get excited talking about those “what if” dreams, isn’t it?

What’s your favorite subject?

What's your favorite subject?

Are the subjects you’re good at—and the ones you’re not so good at—known to the people around you? If you’re always loudly proclaiming “I’m bad at math!” then people might know, but surprisingly, you might not know your friends’ best subjects.

There might even be people whose favorite subject is different from the one they’re actually good at.

How do you bounce back when you’re feeling down?

How do you bounce back when you’re feeling down?

Everyone has days when they feel down—like when you get a bad test score or end up in a bit of an argument with a friend.

How you bounce back and cheer yourself up varies from person to person.

Try asking your friends how they recover and use their tips as inspiration!

What’s your favorite candy?

What's your favorite candy?

There are so many kinds of sweets—what’s your favorite? It’s a tricky question since you might like this one and that one… Not many people can answer right away, right? If you know this, you might be able to use it for things like choosing a friend’s birthday present.

Are you a bread-for-breakfast person or a rice-for-breakfast person?

Are you a bread-for-breakfast person or a rice-for-breakfast person?

This may have less to do with what you personally like or dislike and more to do with the preferences and effort of the person who prepares breakfast.

You might even get some slightly unusual answers like, “I’m actually a rice person, but at home I eat bread every morning,” which makes you wonder, “So which is it, in the end?”

What’s your favorite place in the school?

What's your favorite place in the school?

In a large school with classrooms that change every year, different buildings, and classes you have to move between, where is your favorite place? Maybe you liked your classroom from a certain year, or you liked the restroom in that building.

And if your friends like the same place, that makes it even more fun and exciting, doesn’t it?

What’s a song you always sing at karaoke?NEW!

What's a song you always sing at karaoke?NEW!

If you’re a music lover, here’s a question you should definitely try asking: have them guess your go-to karaoke song.

If it’s someone you’ve been to karaoke with many times, they might get it right.

Otherwise, they’ll likely have to deduce it from your generation and musical tastes.

What makes this question tricky is that the songs you usually listen to aren’t necessarily the ones you sing.

Even younger people sometimes have a surprising Showa-era classic as their signature number.

If you’ve got an unexpected go-to song like that, try asking this question and surprise everyone.
