Songs with titles starting with “No” (Perfect for karaoke and shiritori!)

You probably can’t immediately think of many song titles that start with “no,” can you?

There are relatively many words you don’t often hear in everyday life, and lots of them have English titles.

Things like “Nobody…,” “Note,” “NOT…,” and so on.

There are also memorable masterpiece tracks that symbolize the artists themselves.

I’ve put together a list of song titles that might be useful when you want to look something up—just a bit…!

Feel free to use it not only when you’re curious about what songs start with “no,” but also as a prompt for shiritori word games or when choosing songs at karaoke.

Songs with titles starting with “No” [Great for karaoke and shiritori too!] (121–130)

No Fangguddō mōningu amerika

Good Morning America “No Fang” MV
No Fangguddō mōningu amerika

This song encapsulates the appeal of Good Morning America as a rock band.

It was selected as the theme song for the smartphone suspense RPG Black Rose Suspects.

The music video is a compelling work that looks as if the band members have slipped into a bar on the American West Coast.

For some reason, the beginning of the music video is very scary, but both the tune and the rest of the video are really refreshing.

It feels very springlike.

It’s a track recorded around the time of their major-label debut.

Their high-quality sound hasn’t changed since back then.

Notteru Ondo (full ver.)Za Dorifutāzu

“Notteru Ondo,” which is based on the Akita Ondo.

The basic melody is the same, and only the lyrics have been changed—kind of like a parody song.

It’s very Drifters-like, with a strong parody vibe, and the lyrics are pretty funny.

I didn’t know a song like this existed—what a neat discovery!

NOBODY KNOWSSuga Shikao

Suga Shikao (SUGA SHIKAO) / NOBODY KNOWS
NOBODY KNOWSSuga Shikao

Their 22nd single, like “19-sai,” was used as the opening theme for the sequel of the TBS anime “xxxHOLiC.” In addition, the limited first edition included a live DVD at no extra cost, making it a CD with a volume effectively exceeding that of a full album.

Brain Warpasupie

Passepied – “Brain War” Music Video
Brain Warpasupie

Among Passepied’s songs, this one ranks among the most up-tempo and intense.

Unusual for them, it’s a rock-leaning track where the guitar stands out more than the keyboards, yet even within its brief three-minute runtime it features a great many key changes—technically intricate in true Passepied fashion.

The music video is done in a picture-story-show style, which is unique as well.

Songs Whose Titles Start With “No” [Great for Karaoke & Shiritori!] (131–140)

Noise Discofurīdamu

Freedom is an indie band from Nagoya’s underground scene.

While they exude an overall psychedelic, mysterious vibe, their songs are pop with a touch of cuteness—a girls’ psych band.

They’re also featured on the compilation CD “Ripple,” which brought together Nagoya’s indie scene and was the talk of the town for a time.

Knock Knock KnockMiura Daichi

They deliver heartrending lyrics over a mellow melody, sung with a gentle voice.

Miura was still in his late teens at the time, yet he put on an unbelievably stunning performance.

Miura’s beautiful vocals are something you won’t forget once you’ve heard them.
