NonsainoNashimoto Ui

This is a Vocaloid song by Ui Nashimoto.
They are an early-era producer who mainly creates guitar rock-style tracks.
The illustrations in the videos are drawn by the artist themself, and they are often black-and-white compositions that unmistakably look like a beginner’s work.
It’s also unusual for an early member to release videos that are just still images with lyrics overlaid.
Leisurely Little SongMoriwaka Riko

Riko Moriwaka’s “Nonbiri Kouta” gently leads listeners into a calm, relaxed state.
Released as a single in June 2024, it also includes the coupling tracks “Onna Jōwa” and “Haha no Inai Furusato.” Wrapped in a soothing melody and gentle rhythm, it makes you feel as if you’re strolling at your own pace.
It’s a song that reminds you of the importance of taking your time as the seasons change.
Give it a listen when you want to step away from the busyness of daily life and spend a peaceful moment in nature.
No.1Makihara Noriyuki

Released in ’93, this track is a classic, straight-down-the-line love song.
It’s very pop, with soulful vocals peeking through, giving it a sophisticated, Western-style feel.
The honest expression of love is refreshing to listen to.
It’s a song that distills everything great about Makki.
Field Poop SongTarumi Kenji

This song by Kenji Darvish, which sings about the desperate feeling of suddenly needing to use the bathroom while you’re out, is a good one despite the goofy content, isn’t it? The many spoken or chant-like, unpitched parts make it easier, but when the sections have a proper melody, you can’t help focusing on the lyrics.
The trick is to deliberately forget the lyrics once and try singing only the melody.
If you sing everything with “du” or “tyu,” you can check both pitch and rhythm, so give it a try.
Knock U downMizuki Nana

A track included on the album “CANNONBALL RUNNING,” released in December 2019.
It was used as the opening theme for TBS’s TV program COUNT DOWN TV for December and January.
Perhaps because voice actors tend to have solid projection and diction, many of them are great singers, and Nana Mizuki is no exception—she delivers a pretty cool performance here.
In this song, she skillfully switches between a powerful midrange, high tones, and clear high notes using mixed voice.
That means it’s not something you can pull off just by having a high voice; it can be quite challenging.
Do your best to sing it while aiming for proper vocal technique! It’s a mid-tempo rock song with a comfortable groove, so it should be a lot of fun to sing.

NORTH OF EDENHimuro Kyosuke

It is included on the 2013 album “KYOSUKE HIMURO 25th Anniversary BEST ALBUM GREATEST ANTHOLOGY.” It served as the theme song for the film “Shield of Straw,” released the same year.
The song was commissioned by Takashi Miike, the director of “Shield of Straw” and a fan of Himuro, and Himuro wrote it after reading the script during the songwriting process.
Wild BoyKawashima Eigo

Many men in their 50s have children, and some may have sons who are about to reach adulthood.
For those fathers, I recommend “Nokozō.” This song, which ruggedly sings about what a father wants to do with his son when he turns 20, is perfect for coloring the father–son relationship.
The vocal line leans heavily into enka and kayōkyoku influences, so it’s simple overall.
The chorus sits in the mid-to-high range; if that part feels difficult, try lowering the key by one semitone.
