Autumn Lampshade

Here’s a recommended autumn lampshade craft for 5-year-olds! The materials are a milk carton, washi paper (thin Japanese paper), colored pencils or crayons, water-based markers, paint, glue, and a light.

First, divide the washi paper into four pieces and draw pictures of fallen leaves and other autumn motifs with colored pencils or crayons.

Color over your drawings with water-based markers, then let the colors bleed using paint.

After cutting out the pictures, peel off the outer paper from the top of the milk carton, cut the carton in half, and glue the pictures to both the inside and outside.

Finally, place it over a light to complete your lampshade! If you use recycled materials that may contain allergens, please take appropriate safety precautions.

Here’s an introduction to making a Pacific saury (sanma) craft using aluminum foil! Materials: newspaper or flyers, aluminum foil, double-sided tape, crayons, colored construction paper, a permanent marker, a pencil, white stickers, and fallen leaves.

First, tightly roll and compress the newspaper or flyers into a long, thin shape like a saury.

Wrap the shape with aluminum foil to form the fish.

Next, draw the saury’s pattern with a permanent marker, and finally draw the eyes on the white stickers and stick them on.

Attach the saury to your favorite color of construction paper, and it’s done! It looks lovely if you add fallen leaves in the blank spaces on the paper.

Bright-red persimmon

[Kindergarten/Daycare] Looks real? October autumn flavors! Bright red persimmon craft
Bright-red persimmon

It’s an idea for making a three-dimensional persimmon.

Accordion-fold the origami paper and fold it in half, then glue the folded edges together.

Make two of these, attach their ends to each other to form a circle.

Make three circles in total.

Thread and secure some twine through one of the three.

Use double-sided tape to attach the remaining two to the back of the piece with the twine.

Finally, thread a leaf piece onto the twine to finish.

If you use red origami paper, you can make an apple as well, so try making them together for an autumn wall display.

An apple basket made with lacing

@buchiko_hoiku

🐶 @buchiko_hoiku ◂◂◂◂ Check out my other posts, too 🌼 Thank you so much for all the likes 🩷 This time! An apple basket craft you can use for autumn projects and as a Respect-for-the-Aged Day gift 🍎 You can have fun making the apples with swipe art or finger painting using paints 🤭💕 Four tips for threading yarn on the basket 🌟 1) Make an even number of holes! (With an even number, the end will finish neatly on the back.) 2) It’s okay to thread through the same hole more than once! (That gives you a denser weave and more personality ✨) 3) Use the back side of the plate as the front! (It helps keep the apples from falling out when sandwiched.) 4) Use several short lengths of yarn! (Long yarn gets tangled and is harder to handle.) Please give it a try 🌼 I’d love to hear if you made it 🌈 ⋱⋰ Thank you for reading to the end 🐶 I share ideas you can easily copy from the intro to the craft itself ♬︎ I’ll cry tears of joy if you like ♥, save 𖤘, and follow 𖤐 😂 lol Comments are also very welcome 🤍🤍 ⋱⋰Nursery teacher / Childcare workerKindergarten TeacherAutumn Crafts#Wall CreationToddler CraftsPlay that expands from picture booksApple CraftRespect for the Aged Day

First, use finger painting to apply your favorite colors of paint onto the construction paper.

Next, use a hole punch to make an even number of holes along half of a paper plate.

Thread the yarn through the holes.

Cut the painted construction paper into the shape of an apple and place it into the yarn basket—that’s it! If you write a message on the apple, it can double as a gift card.

Flapping Owl

Introducing a flap-flap owl craft that 5-year-olds will love, made with paper cups! You’ll need two paper cups, glue or tape, and colored construction paper.

First, cut four slits in one paper cup where the owl’s wings will go.

Make the same slits in the other cup.

Stack the two cups together, then glue or tape the tips of the wings together.

When you move the two cups up and down, the wings will flap.

Finally, make the owl’s wings and face from colored paper, stick them on, and it’s complete! It’s also fun to try making other favorite animals.
