Creative November Craft Ideas for 5-Year-Olds (1–10)
Autumn Lampshade
Here’s a recommended autumn lampshade craft for 5-year-olds! The materials are a milk carton, washi paper (thin Japanese paper), colored pencils or crayons, water-based markers, paint, glue, and a light.
First, divide the washi paper into four pieces and draw pictures of fallen leaves and other autumn motifs with colored pencils or crayons.
Color over your drawings with water-based markers, then let the colors bleed using paint.
After cutting out the pictures, peel off the outer paper from the top of the milk carton, cut the carton in half, and glue the pictures to both the inside and outside.
Finally, place it over a light to complete your lampshade! If you use recycled materials that may contain allergens, please take appropriate safety precautions.

Here’s an introduction to making a Pacific saury (sanma) craft using aluminum foil! Materials: newspaper or flyers, aluminum foil, double-sided tape, crayons, colored construction paper, a permanent marker, a pencil, white stickers, and fallen leaves.
First, tightly roll and compress the newspaper or flyers into a long, thin shape like a saury.
Wrap the shape with aluminum foil to form the fish.
Next, draw the saury’s pattern with a permanent marker, and finally draw the eyes on the white stickers and stick them on.
Attach the saury to your favorite color of construction paper, and it’s done! It looks lovely if you add fallen leaves in the blank spaces on the paper.
Bright-red persimmon
It’s an idea for making a three-dimensional persimmon.
Accordion-fold the origami paper and fold it in half, then glue the folded edges together.
Make two of these, attach their ends to each other to form a circle.
Make three circles in total.
Thread and secure some twine through one of the three.
Use double-sided tape to attach the remaining two to the back of the piece with the twine.
Finally, thread a leaf piece onto the twine to finish.
If you use red origami paper, you can make an apple as well, so try making them together for an autumn wall display.

When you move the two cups up and down, the wings will flap.
