Let’s move to a distant base! Here’s an idea for a “Moving House” game.

In this game, the cue word is “Moving House,” and children simply move from one mat to another.

Once they get used to it, teachers or guardians can try to interrupt them along the course.

The fun part is seeing whether they can complete the move while avoiding the teachers or guardians! It’s also a great idea for deepening bonds among the children by giving them a shared goal.

Cup Game

This time it’s a “cooperation-required cup game”! Materials: • 4 strings • 1 rubber band • Paper or plastic cups How to play: • Attach the 4 strings to the rubber band. • Line up the paper cups. • Tug the rubber band from four directions to grip the cup and stack them into a pyramid. This game builds fine hand control and concentration. Plus, one person can take the lead by giving instructions, and the other listens and responds. You can’t do it unless the two of you work together. My second son isn’t very cooperative and hasn’t really had experiences of accomplishing something together with friends, so I hope that, even through play, he can gradually gain experiences of achieving something with someone else. A mission you can’t clear without teaming up! Here’s a cup game idea.

Cooperation is a very important skill for 5-year-olds.

Through everyday interactions with friends and family, they begin to learn what cooperation means and why it matters.

By playing cooperatively with friends, children can develop the ability to understand others’ feelings and take turns.

The key to this game is that you cannot complete it without your teammates’ help.

You’ll need paper or plastic cups, rubber bands, and string.

Secret Base Dome

Today’s post is the Newspaper Dome. This activity got my child the most excited ever 🤭 It’s spacious—about 5 or 6 kids could fit inside 😁 Kids love secret-base-type spots, right? With the breeze coming in, it felt cool and comfy inside! For a dome this big, one fan might not inflate it enough; using two made it pop up nice and full! If you only have one fan, I recommend making a smaller one 😊 How to play: Go in and out, jump around inside Bring toys into the dome and play Toss in a blanket for a cozy nap Bring in snacks and drinks Stick stickers all over the walls Scribble on the floor or walls with pens Let them go all out, and finish the day by tearing it up—that alone can keep you busy all day 🤭 Materials: About 30 sheets of newspaper (use more or fewer—try any size you like) Packing tape Plastic sheeting (for the ceiling) I made each wall panel with 6 sheets of newspaper this time! The entrance side used 5 sheets! For the ceiling, I opened up two plastic garbage bags and used those! I used plastic for the ceiling to let in light this time, but you can make the ceiling out of newspaper too! After making the walls and roof with the newspaper and plastic bags, blow air in through the entrance using a fan.

It will puff up softly and it’s really fun!

A fun cooperative race using mats! We explained the basic rules, then practice time! Each team came up with their own chants and how to position the kids.
