“Warai-goe ga Yo-deru ne” was released as the Song of November 2021.

The lyrics and music were written by singer-songwriter Daisuke Mori.

Speaking of Daisuke Mori, he also wrote the lyrics and music for the October 2020 song “Pan wa Pan demo!?” This is a very cheerful song that lets you enjoy tickling games in time with the lyrics.

The title seems to be a play on words, combining the vocal technique yodel with the idea of laughter coming out.

Be sure to sing and have fun with toddlers who love tickling games!

Everyone falls in love with someone.Yokoyama Daisuke / Mitani Takumi

The lyrics are really wonderful! It’s a song about beautiful scenes that don’t feel like a typical children’s song.

The line “Everyone falls in love with someone” could even be taken as a love song, don’t you think? The lyrics were written by Osamu Sakata, the music was composed by Akira Hayashi, and it was released in 2012.

Boomba-boon!Takayuki Yoshizawa, Satoko Yamano

This is the song used in the exercise segment where you can dance along to “Okaasan to Issho,” performed from March 2014 to March 2019.

It kicks off with an upbeat, energizing sound.

Once you learn the choreography—featuring vigorous jumps, big arm swings, and animal-like motions that match the lyrics—it looks like quite a workout even for adults.

Some moves may be challenging for toddlers, but if everyone—siblings and parents together—shouts the calls loudly and moves freely, it should help you wake up bright and energetic in the morning!

For some reason, little kids can sometimes be contrary.

I don’t think they themselves care about it, but that kind of behavior can be pretty cute, right? This song also portrays children’s adorable antics.

The phrase “jaku-jaku aman-no-jaku” is fun to say, and it’s something you can sing together with the kids!

These days we have many ways to travel, like the Shinkansen and airplanes, but this song shines a spotlight on the SL—namely, the steam locomotive.

A train chugging along while billowing white smoke from its chimney: the song’s medium tempo and cheerful vibe perfectly match that image.

The lyrics are also great, packed with onomatopoeia that makes you want to say them out loud.

By the way, the “locomotion” in the title means “movement,” and steam locomotives are called “SL” in Japanese from the S of “steam” and the L of “locomotion.”

“Was the kitchen an orchestra of delightful sounds!?” The cutting board goes “ton ton ton,” the pot goes “gutsu-gutsu” (simmer-simmer), the frying pan goes “ju-ju” (sizzle), and unbelievably, the pot lid transforms into a cymbal—what a surprise! It’s a very fun song.

Shake Shake Genki!Yokoyama Daisuke / Ono Atsuko

Shake, Shake, I’m fine! Lyrics by Saito Inko, music by Aozora Sky
Shake Shake Genki!Yokoyama Daisuke / Ono Atsuko

It’s a lively, energetic song that’s very typical of “Okaasan to Issho.” The dance where you swing your arms to the “Shake, shake!!” vocals is really cute.

If you play it for a fussy child, it might cheer them up and get them dancing happily.
