Swaying mobile

Let’s easily make a mobile using a hanger and lightweight paper clay!
Swaying mobile

Swaying gently and so cute! Here’s how to make a wobbly mobile.

You’ll need lightweight paper clay, nylon thread (fishing line), paint, a wire hanger, bamboo skewers, a craft knife, needle-nose pliers, and water.

First, knead the paint into the paper clay to add color.

Next, shape it into stars, hearts, or any designs you like, and let them dry.

Once fully dry, tie a small knot at the end of the nylon thread to form a bead-like stopper and insert it into the paper clay.

Use needle-nose pliers to take apart the wire hanger and twist it into a spiral.

Thread the nylon line with the clay pieces through the wire hanger, and you’re done! Kids are sure to be captivated by the mobile spinning round and round.

ice cream

Let’s make Baskin-Robbins-style ice cream using clay.

Please prepare: paper clay, five colors of paint (red, blue, yellow, brown, black), a bamboo skewer, a toothbrush, Oyumaru (if you want to make a mold), sandpaper, varnish, and adhesive.

Color the paper clay with the paints.

Knead the color in thoroughly; if it looks too light, add more paint to adjust.

Shape it into round scoops of ice cream, and use a brush or toothpick to add ice cream-like textures and depth.

If you want to make identical scoops, soften some Oyumaru in hot water, press it over a finished, dried scoop to form and harden a mold, and use that to replicate the shape.

Besides vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate, you can also mix paints to make flavors like green tea—highly recommended.

You can crumble clay or shape small pieces and let them dry to create heart or chocolate toppings, which make the ice cream look even more delicious! Finish by applying a glossy varnish.
