Fun Paper Clay Toy Ideas (11–20)
Fishing toy

Kids get really absorbed in kneading clay and shaping it, don’t they? Clay play helps them enjoy expressing their own ideas, experiment with materials and tools, and build concentration.
In this clay-made fishing toy activity, check the colors for each part and knead the clay thoroughly so the paint mixes in well.
Rolling and stretching are key steps for forming shapes.
Once you attach each part securely so they won’t come off, the fish is complete.
Attach a string and a magnet with clay, hang it from a chopstick, and the fishing rod is ready too.
Since the clay fish have some weight, it makes the fishing game even more fun.
Making a bento (Japanese lunchbox)

Enjoy a picnic vibe even indoors! Here’s how to make a bento lunch.
You’ll need a lunch box, paint, plastic grass dividers, side dish cups, and paper clay.
First, use paint and paper clay to make the colors for the side dishes you want to include in your bento.
It’s exciting to create your favorites like rice balls, rolled omelets, sausages, and tomatoes.
You can also expand the play by brainstorming together and adding more dishes using materials you have at home or at school, such as yarn and construction paper.
Grab your handmade bento and let’s go on a picnic!
pen holder

Something you can use after making it! Here’s how to make a pen holder.
You’ll need air-dry clay, an empty jar, jute twine, glass game pieces, jewel stickers, ribbon, and craft glue.
First, to help the clay adhere better, wrap the jute twine around the jar using craft glue.
Then, gradually press the air-dry clay onto the outside of the jar.
Embed the glass pieces and jewel stickers into the clay as you go, and once the clay dries, it’s done! Adding a ribbon at the end makes it suitable as a gift, too.
Making colorful marshmallows

Sweets decoration! Here’s how to make colorful paper-clay marshmallows.
You’ll need lightweight paper clay, a craft knife, paint, candy sticks, paste-type clay, and beads.
First, roll the paper clay into a log and cut it into 1.5 cm slices.
Shape each slice into a marshmallow.
Mix paint into the paper clay and shape it the same way to make colorful marshmallows! Skewering the marshmallows on candy sticks looks cute, too.
After the paper clay has dried thoroughly, have fun decorating with paste clay and beads.
Paper clay magnet

You can make your own original magnets! Here’s how to make paper clay magnets.
What you’ll need: lightweight paper clay, cookie cutters, decorative parts, craft glue, a rolling pin, and a self-adhesive magnet sheet.
First, use the rolling pin to flatten the paper clay to about 5 mm thick.
Cut out shapes with your favorite cookie cutters, then let the clay dry.
Once it’s dry, use craft glue to attach the decorative parts.
You can also draw faces with a pen or add glitter with nail polish—it’s a nice touch.
Finally, stick a magnet cut to your preferred size on the back, and you’re done!
