Created as a tie-in with TV Asahi’s Friday Night Drama, this distinctive track was made entirely with English lyrics.

Its dope, stylish sound pairs perfectly with an ominous, dark atmosphere, marking new territory for the band.

Set for release in May 2025, the 10th anniversary of Polkadot Stingray’s formation, it features a weighty sonic texture that stands apart from their previously catchy pop-rock style.

It vividly captures the world of the co-produced Japan–Korea drama starring Kumiko Aso, resulting in an ambitious work that symbolizes the band’s new challenge.

As a tense track that adds color to a suspense production, it’s sure to be irresistible for listeners who love mysterious vibes and enigmatic twists.

This is a song included on Polkadot Stingray’s first EP, “Honenuki E.P.” The lyrics, crafted by vocalist Shizuku, sparkle with a distinctive worldview and a sharp sense for wordplay.

Sensitive emotions are expressed with great care.

Gokurakuto is a track included on the album Zenchi Zennou, which became the work that brought Polkadot Stingray to nationwide recognition.

The song features Isao Takano on keyboards, whose playing gently embraces and fits the lyrics’ negative emotions about romantic turmoil.

While Zenchi Zennou contains many emotional, edgy songs, the gentle sound of Gokurakuto stands out prominently among them.

This is a track included on their first album, Omniscience Omnipotence.

It’s based on an incident that could happen to anyone: getting drunk, going to sleep, and waking up to find a stranger next to you.

The confused-sounding guitar and Shizuku’s vocal delivery really convey a sense of inebriation.

Polkadot Stingray is a rock band that’s gained popularity for its catchy musicality.

Their rock sound, which puts pop sensibilities front and center, is highly addictive and a big hit at karaoke.

Among their songs, one I especially recommend is Chimera.

This track features a great deal of falsetto—most of it, from the first verse through the chorus, is sung in falsetto.

You don’t need to sing it with a lot of power, but because you’re in falsetto the whole time, it can even give you a headache, so it’s fair to say the song demands stamina.
