Nights WaveMice Parade

Mice Parade is the solo project of Adam Pierce—the drummer from the Düran Group and an anagram of his name.
Many of the songs feature Pierce’s signature free-form drumming layered over melodies played with acoustic guitar or string phrases, topped with clear, translucent female vocals.
Kashiwa from toe, one of Japan’s leading post-rock bands, has said that Mice Parade is among the bands that influenced him.
LimerickBardo Pond

Bird Pond is a U.S.
band whose heavy, overdriven guitars surge like an avalanche.
Formed in 1991, their music paints a vast sonic landscape where elements of psychedelia, drone, and noise swirl together.
Isobel Sollenberger’s ethereal vocals and flute seem to cast a shaft of light through the thunderous din.
They cemented their style with the 1996 masterpiece Amanita.
Their long, largely improvised tracks make you feel as if you’re drifting through an endless dream.
Though they’ve never courted major awards, their chops are undeniable—for instance, their drummer took part in Boredoms’ 2007 project.
Why not let yourself be swept away by this torrent of sound, where roaring noise and hushed silence coexist?
In RiversTracer AMC

Formed in Northern Ireland in 1999, Tracer AMC is a post-rock band that builds lyrical, structured soundscapes centered on instrumentals.
Their early singles, released in 2000, gradually gained recognition after being featured by legendary BBC DJ John Peel.
While they don’t have major hit singles, their album Flux & Form—praised by The Wire for its “majestic virtuosity”—and the acclaimed masterpiece Islands, which earned high praise in Japan as well, are must-listens.
Their sound, woven from crystalline twin guitars and an emotionally stirring rhythm section, feels like a story painted in sound.
If you’re in the mood to immerse yourself in a vast, expansive world with music that speaks without words, give them a listen.
The Wire, The Rag and The PayoffBrokeback

This is a project by Douglas McCombs, who is also a member of Tortoise, and of course the album was released on Thrill Jockey—it’s a band from the Chicago post-rock scene.
