THE ALFEE Popular Songs Ranking [2026]

Debuting in 1974, THE ALFEE has continued their activities while constantly incorporating new musical elements.

Another distinctive feature is that most of their songs are written and composed by guitarist Toshihiko Takamizawa.

Here, we present a ranking of THE ALFEE’s most popular tracks.

Released in 2016 as their 65th single, “Kyou no Tsuzuki ga Mirai ni Naru” (“Today’s Continuation Becomes the Future”) was used as the ending theme for the Nippon TV program “Burari Tochuu Gesha no Tabi.” This song portrays the passage of time with a beautiful worldview and sings about the connection between past, present, and future.

While some may associate THE ALFEE with rock numbers and a harder image, this is a gentle track that helps you relax your shoulders amid busy days or moments of frustration, encouraging you to “go at your own pace.”

AdventurersTHE ALFEE37rank/position

THE ALFEE’s hidden gem “Adventurers.” If you’re not a fan, you may not be familiar with it, but this track enjoys strong popularity in certain circles because it’s a rare piece with a jazz flavor among THE ALFEE’s songs.

The vocal range is about average, and the structure features a sudden surge in voltage at the chorus.

The chorus shifts to a rock feel with a simple, repetitive structure, while the A and B sections sit comfortably in an easy-to-sing low-to-mid register.

The sun does not set.THE ALFEE38rank/position

This is the 50th single, which was used as the theme song for the Fuji TV drama “Shomuni FINAL.” The lyrics, which sing about the importance of not succumbing to adversity, bring to mind the strong-willed character of Chinatsu Tsuboi, the drama’s protagonist played by Makiko Esumi.

It’s a track with a powerful, cool guitar riff.

At the end of a reckless run with no tomorrowTHE ALFEE

This is quite an old song.

I think it was from their acoustic era, before they put out any hit singles.

The lovely acoustic guitar intro is very striking, and it’s one of my favorite songs as well.

The sound of a live acoustic guitar is truly wonderful.

Let’s liveTHE ALFEE40rank/position

THE ALFEE – Live On [40th Summer DAY 2]
Let's liveTHE ALFEE

This is a song that came about naturally after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.

It was always performed as the final song on that year’s tour and was released in 2012 as the 61st single.

Powerfully declaring, “Let’s live on without giving up, without losing hope,” it’s a track that fills you with courage just by listening.

Holy Night – Two People’s Silent NightTHE ALFEE41rank/position

THE ALFEE is one of those artist groups that has stayed at the forefront for a long time.

This song, “Hoshiyo – Futari no Silent Night,” feels less like something for adults to spend a quiet Christmas evening with and more like a track that would really liven up a party.

It gives me a sense of an unchanging aesthetic.

Let’s try dancing to this song at the party.

The Rhythm of PartingTHE ALFEE42rank/position

This is the 14th single by THE ALFEE, released in 1982, marking their restart as they shifted genres from folk to rock.

The track incorporates elements of progressive rock, which was popular at the time.

Listening to it now, its forward-thinking sound is truly striking.
