[Birthday] Ranking of Popular Entertainment/Performances (71–80)
Mysterious Pocket78rank/position

Let’s have fun singing the beloved children’s song “Fushigina Pocket” (The Magic Pocket).
Are those forest animals? I heard there’s a birthday child, so they’ve brought all sorts of tasty treats.
Cookies, biscuits, doughnuts, fruit… When you pat the pocket, they multiply and keep coming out.
Before taking things out of the pocket, describe their features—like “Round, with a hole, and sweet?”—so the children can imagine what will appear next and enjoy the guessing.
At the end, a cake is completed, making it perfect for a birthday party.
Quiz79rank/position

Let’s enjoy a quiz with the children at the birthday party.
It’s fun when the caregiver asks the questions, but letting the birthday kids who are turning four or five be the quizmasters can really liven things up! With a silhouette quiz, the children asking the questions only need to show the papers in order, so they don’t have to memorize any difficult lines.
To the younger kids, the older ones running the quiz will look like role models.
Coming up with topics and preparing them is part of the fun, too.
Be sure to create a quiz that everyone can enjoy together.
Surprise movie80rank/position

A celebratory movie that becomes a lasting memory—receiving one would make anyone happy, right? Let’s create a surprise video like that! Use plenty of photos and clips you’ve taken with your friends, and add in the feelings that are hard to say out loud or a bit embarrassing to express.
It could be nice to make a slightly moving, heartfelt video.
These days, there are many apps that let you create cute videos for free, so choose one you like and that seems easy to use, and give it a try.

Honeycomb ball81rank/position

The honeycomb ball with a three-dimensional, flower-like spread is spherical, which makes it easy to use for decorations.
You can make it easily with just two sheets of origami, so why not make many and use them to decorate various places? The process is simple: use a compass and scissors to cut the origami into circles, then glue them together.
You can also enjoy different arrangements, such as combining origami of different colors or stringing the finished honeycomb balls together with thread.
birthday cake82rank/position

This is a birthday cake made by creating the cake body, strawberries, and a chocolate plaque separately.
For the cake body, fold the origami paper in half horizontally, then fold it in half again.
Unfold it once, fold both left and right corners into triangles, then fold up to the first horizontal halfway line.
Flip it over and adjust the corners to shape it like a cake.
For the strawberries, take red origami folded into a square base, adjust the corners, and shape them.
Write a name and message on the chocolate plaque.
Attach the chocolate and strawberries to the cake with clear tape, then use a white pen to draw the strawberry seeds and cake decorations to finish!
Birthday cake trinket box83rank/position

A birthday party just isn’t complete without a birthday cake.
Wherever people gather—at celebratory parties or Christmas get-togethers—there’s always a cake, right? So let’s try making a cake-shaped trinket box inspired by those festive cakes! The process is divided into three main stages: the box body, the box lid, and the decoration on top of the lid.
Since the lid’s decoration includes parts as small as 1 cm, this project is probably best suited for upper elementary school students or older.
If an adult learns the steps first and then teaches everyone, it might go more smoothly.
Panel Theater: Whose Underpants Are These?84rank/position

The panel theater show “Whose Underpants Are These?”, which also has a quiz-like element, is a game where you look only at a pair of underpants and guess who they belong to.
Draw animals’ or characters’ bottoms and their underpants on round cardstock, and show the children while asking, “Whose underpants do you think these are?” Another sheet of cardstock of the same size is hidden on the back; when you flip or rotate it, the answer appears, revealing the owner of the underpants.
If they’re tiger-striped underpants, are they a tiger’s? An ogre’s? Maybe the Thunder God’s? Children’s imaginations will run wild.
Try choosing and drawing underpants and animals with distinctive features.
