[Birthday] Ranking of Popular Skits/Acts for Entertainment (11–20)
Herbarium ballpoint pen11rank/position

Would you like to try making a cute herbarium ballpoint pen by hand? This one is made by placing shrink-plastic parts and herbarium oil inside a craft ballpoint pen.
Most of the materials, including the craft pen, can be found at 100-yen shops.
You can draw on the shrink plastic with a pen, but recently there are inkjet-printable sheets available, so it’s also recommended to print motifs your friends like and use those.
After baking the shrink plastic in a toaster, harden it with resin, then place it inside the pen together with the herbarium oil.
Seal the cap while letting the air escape, and you’re done!
Piñata12rank/position

When it comes to activities that liven up a birthday party, how about a piñata? You fill a cute figure made from colorful paper with candy and small toys.
The moment it’s struck and breaks open, children’s smiles spread as the treats burst out.
Both adults and kids can enjoy it together, so it’s sure to raise the excitement in the venue.
Plus, you can even make one yourself.
Why not prepare a piñata full of originality and create some special memories? Be sure to check it out as an activity that will bring smiles to everyone’s faces.
Handmade album13rank/position

When it comes to birthday gifts that unexpectedly make people happy, an album might be at the top of the list.
It feels great to know someone treasures their memories with you.
And rather than a simple album where you just stick photos in, ones with playful features—like photos that slide out when you pull a tab, or a base that turns like a Ferris wheel—tend to delight people even more.
It does take time to make, but if you’re thinking of giving a heartfelt present, definitely try creating one using these ideas as inspiration.
What’s inside the box?14rank/position

“What’s in the Box?” is a game where holes are made on both sides of a box so you can put your hands in and guess what’s inside using only your sense of touch.
The front of the box is visible from the outside, so it’s fun even just to watch.
The birthday kids can, of course, be the ones to put their hands in, but it’s also great if the teacher demonstrates.
If the teacher is the one taking the challenge, try putting in items that add a little suspense.
If you have the birthday child do it, be mindful of kids who might be scared and plan the event so it can proceed even if they choose not to participate.
keychain15rank/position
Keychains are a popular gift that you can give casually.
Lately, acrylic keychains featuring popular characters, anime, and idols have also become trendy—people carry them around and take photos with them when they go out.
With the character boom, lots of kids probably have keychains of their favorite characters.
Make sure to check what they already have so you don’t end up giving the same one! Of course you can attach them to a bag, but you can also put them on a pouch, keys, or even game devices.
[Dried Flowers] Glass Dome16rank/position

Flowers have a soothing effect on those who look at them.
They’re especially appreciated as gifts.
For high schoolers, though, some may not know how to display fresh flowers when they receive them.
That’s when dried flowers come in handy.
The dried flower glass dome we’re introducing today is an item that adds a touch of elegance just by placing it in your room.
It’s also a great idea to prepare flowers that bloom around your friend’s birthday and arrange them yourself to make a personalized gift.
light17rank/position

Let’s make an antique-style light using a bulb light, a birdcage, and a wooden measuring box (masu)! First, drill a hole in the bottom of the masu that’s the same diameter as the fitting at the base of the bulb light.
Once the hole is made, stain the wood using a water-based varnish.
Cut off the top of the birdcage, turn it upside down, insert the bulb light, and secure it into the hole in the masu, which will serve as the base.
That completes your handmade light! When you switch it on, the birdcage’s shadow spreads beautifully, creating a great atmosphere.
It’s also nice that you can make it entirely with items from a 100-yen shop.
Presents equal to your age18rank/position

A surprise is only successful when it goes far beyond what the recipient imagines.
So, for a friend’s birthday, prepare as many gifts as their age.
They might anticipate getting a present, but they probably won’t imagine receiving that many.
Ask close friends, classmates, or club members to join in, have everyone bring a gift, and give them all at the same time—the surprise will be even bigger.
It’s even better if everyone coordinates beforehand to avoid duplicate gifts.
Give it a try and make your friend truly happy!
A present in a coin locker19rank/position

When you’re trying to surprise a friend with a gift, walking around with a paper bag makes it pretty obvious and kind of ruins the surprise, right? It won’t be much of a surprise to begin with.
That’s where coin lockers come in handy! How about putting the present in a coin locker as a surprise? Then give your friend the key, make up a reason like “Could you grab my stuff?” and have them open it.
If you do a simple decoration inside the locker, it will feel even more surprising.
Panel theater20rank/position

A panel theater where a fun story unfolds on a white board.
Draw the pictures needed for the story, cut them out, and prepare them in advance.
Then, as you tell the story, stick the pictures onto the panel and peel them off as needed.
For the drawings, use P-paper, which is designed for panel theater, and use panel cloth for the board.
To create a festive atmosphere, you can choose themes like a birthday party with a cake appearing, or a party-themed story.
Of course, using picture books or traditional folktales as material is also fine.
Celebrate the children with a colorful, fun story!
