List of Rock Festivals in Eastern Japan [2026]

The Horseback Warrior Rock Festival is held every year in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture. It began with the hope of creating a new festival so that people who left the city due to the earthquake disaster and the nuclear accident—those who evacuated—could return home at least once a year. I’ve heard there’s also a fireworks display on the day, making it feel just like a summer festival.

LOUD PARK, a festival dedicated to metal. It’s a metal-focused rock fest featuring not only heavy metal but also thrash metal, metalcore, death metal, melodic speed metal, gothic metal, and hard rock. In recent years, BABYMETAL performed there and became a hot topic.

This event, held as a student-only, free, lottery-invitation affair, is a music festival hosted by TOKYO FM and ZOZO, which operates fashion e-commerce sites. It was conceived to support students by giving them the chance to experience various events and concerts they missed due to cancellations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
