TOKYO M.A.P.S is a free admission event. It is hosted by J-WAVE and Roppongi Hills. This comprehensive event showcases a variety of expressions, including music, art, and performance. Each year, a program organizer is invited, and the event is held according to that year’s theme.

TOKYO METROPOLITAN ROCK FESTIVAL, commonly known as METROCK, has been held since 2013. Although it’s a relatively new event, it attracts great popularity, drawing over 30,000 attendees every year since its inception. It takes place in Tokyo and Osaka over a total of four days.

This event takes place across multiple venues, such as live houses in Shimokitazawa. Its concept is a “party”—more specifically, it’s organized with the idea of “not a scaled-down version of a festival that draws tens of thousands, but an interesting party × number of venues.” There’s no way an event with such a fresh concept wouldn’t be a blast.

Yatsui Ichirō of the comedy duo Eleki Comic is also known for his work as a rock DJ, actively engaging in the music industry by releasing compilation albums and more. This is an event he hosts. Rather than being a club music event, it’s a crossover-style event that incorporates a wide range of music.

TRUE NORTH FESTIVAL, hosted by Tokyo hardcore band Crystal Lake, who tour the world. Bands connected to Crystal Lake will gather at Shin-Kiba Studio Coast. The lineup is packed with acts only they could bring together: up-and-coming bands who won the audition, energetic domestic bands, hardcore bands that have shaped the scene since Crystal Lake’s early days, and top-tier metal bands from overseas.
