Rope jumping

When it comes to rope-based activities, jump rope is the classic example, and turning it into a sport gives you rope jumping.

In teams of 12, two people hold the ends of the rope while 10 people jump, competing as a team for the highest number of jumps.

Specialized ropes are also available on the market.

Big waves, small waves in a long-rope jump

The “big wave and small wave” version of long rope jumping is a game everyone can enjoy that tests timing and teamwork.

Two people turn the rope, moving it up and down rhythmically, and the jumpers enter in time with the rhythm and jump at the right moment.

For the big wave, the rope is swung up and down in large motions; for the small wave, it’s swung lower and faster—this variation is also recommended.

Counting together out loud boosts a sense of unity, and succeeding creates a strong feeling of togetherness.

As you get used to it, you can add changes to the rhythm or speed up the turns for more advanced play, expanding the ways to enjoy it.

It’s a game that fosters solidarity and a sense of achievement.

One of the tools used in juggling is the trick rope.

It’s a type of performance art derived from the lasso, and the simplest move is said to be the flat loop.

Since it isn’t very well known, if you learn it and perform it as entertainment at a party, you’re sure to get a big round of applause.

It seems you can buy one from online shops that sell juggling equipment.

With this loop with a string attached, you can easily enjoy a ring toss game.

First, roll up some newspaper to make a ring.

Wrap it with vinyl tape from the outside to reinforce it.

It’s also recommended to decorate it by adding masking tape or similar on top.

Then, attach a piece of yarn or another string to the ring, and it’s complete! Use building blocks or crumpled newspaper as targets, place them in various spots, aim at the targets and toss the ring, then pull it back to yourself with the string.

Draw a line to clearly show where to throw from.
