Has anyone here ever tried asking Kokkuri-san when you wanted to know something? You place a coin on a sheet of paper with the Japanese syllabary, the words for “yes” and “no,” and a drawing of a torii gate, and each participant rests one finger on the coin.

When you summon Kokkuri-san and ask a question, the coin moves over the kana or the “yes” and “no” in a way that seems to produce answers, contrary to the participants’ own will.

Although the mechanism has apparently been scientifically explained, it’s said that you shouldn’t do it lightly.

Even if you’ve heard the scary ghost stories that abound at school, it’s not often that you actually experience them yourself, is it? Apparently, there were lots of stories like that.
