A cute doll that conveys a sense of three-dimensionality and softness is assembled using chenille stems (pipe cleaners).
You’ll use thicker, fluffy pipe cleaners, twisting and combining them, then shaping them to achieve your ideal form.
How many pipe cleaners you use is an important point: proceed while considering a size that allows the whole figure to be sturdy and a quantity that gives it dimensionality.
Once the overall shape is set, attach parts like the face to finish it—your choice of parts here adds originality to the craft.

The food samples displayed at town diners and department store restaurants can be so well made that you might mistake them for the real thing.
On the other hand, the ones that look obviously fake are also endearing.
So why not try making a shaved ice food sample? You’ll need a shaved ice bowl, paper clay, red paint, white paint, and epoxy adhesive.
The epoxy adhesive will serve as the transparent “ice” portion.
The basic process is simple: shape a base with the paper clay, then layer on the epoxy adhesive to form the ice.
It could be fun to invite some friends and make them together.

[Elementary School] Simple One-Day Science Projects and Crafts (31–40)
Vegetable Stamp Art
Many people are likely looking for easy science projects or crafts for lower elementary school students.
For you, we recommend “vegetable stamps.” Cut various vegetables, apply ink to the cross-sections, and make stamps.
Since each vegetable has a different cross-section, you could even turn it into a quiz-style project.
Using the stamps to create pictures is also a great idea.
Art made with fruit
Here’s a great independent research project for elementary school students who love cooking and baking: creating art using fruits and vegetables! By getting creative with how you cut various fruits and veggies, you can make beautiful shapes or even carve them into animals.
One especially recommended idea is to cut an orange peel into the shape of a bear, place the fruit segments inside, and make it look like the bear is holding the fruit.
Projects like this can look like they were made by a pastry chef or top-class cook, yet they’re surprisingly easy to do! Because you’ll need to use a kitchen knife or fruit knife, be sure to do this together with a parent or guardian.
Even grade-schoolers can make it! Triple-shot chopstick rubber band gun
You might think it’s just a simple chopstick rubber band gun, but it actually has a feature that lets you fire three rubber bands.
The building process is straightforward: attach a handle to a bundle of chopsticks that serves as the base, then install a movable trigger so that it’s sandwiched in place.
What’s crucial here are the trigger shape and the positions where the rubber bands are hooked.
By attaching three rubber bands at different positions, they will fire in sequence.
The hooking method for each band is also intricate, so doing that accurately is a key point.
Powerful! Chopstick Gun
Prepare seven pairs of disposable chopsticks and plenty of rubber bands as materials.
First, use five pairs of chopsticks to make the main body.
Stack the chopsticks for the body alternately left and right so that about two-thirds overlap.
Secure them firmly at two points with rubber bands, then cut a notch at the front end to hook a rubber band.
Attach a short, cut chopstick to the rear of the body as the trigger, and glue another chopstick fixed in a V-shape behind that as the grip.
Your powerful chopstick gun is complete!
A beanbag-toss game using ping-pong balls
Here’s a fun and engaging game using ping-pong balls: a ball-toss challenge.
Gather chopsticks, clothespins, tape, and paper cups to make it.
When building the launcher, be mindful of the angle as you fix the chopsticks in place with tape.
Secure them firmly with tape and test to make sure it works properly as you build.
Attach a pair of plastic bottle caps to the back end of the chopsticks, and it’s complete.
You can decorate it however you like.
Stick paper cups on the wall to create goals, then try shooting from the launcher and have fun playing!
