Performances that will liven up an elementary school thank-you party! A collection of ideas everyone can enjoy (1–10)
Elementary school things

When it comes to entertainment everyone can get excited about, “elementary school clichés” might be the perfect pick.
Things that happen in everyday elementary school life or impressions of teachers are sure to resonate with everyone.
If it’s something that happens in day-to-day school life, it’ll be something everyone can enjoy.
Try observing different people as you go about school life.
Recreate those everyday moments and become the star of the show.
Dance ‘Paprika’
Paprika was the 2020 cheer song for the Tokyo Olympics that were supposed to be held that year.
The hugely popular singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu wrote and composed it, and it became a big sensation as soon as the music video was released in 2018! Especially among little kids in kindergarten up through elementary school, it felt like everyone learned the dance to this song, didn’t it? Since it was such a massive hit, performing the dance at a thank-you party would definitely liven things up! Everyone can dance together, and it brings back nostalgic feelings, so I highly recommend it!
Dance “Mario”

Mario Bros.
is a game loved by people of all ages, and there are so many titles in the series.
Let’s all dance to Mario’s theme song! Put on that hat, denim overalls, a red T-shirt, and a mustache, and you’re Mario already! Start with a short skit-style intro and then show off a solid dance—an exciting, fun, and cool performance that’s sure to get everyone pumped.
Teacher impersonation

There’s always at least one person at school who’s good at doing impressions, right? If that’s you, try performing an impression as your act.
Celebrities and anime characters are classics, but for a thank-you party, I think teacher impressions would be a hit.
You can even do an impression without saying who it is and have everyone guess which teacher you’re mimicking!
Fukuwarai using the teacher’s photo

A project where you play the New Year’s game “Fukuwarai” using your teacher’s photo! Since you’ll make it by hand with a photo of your teacher, it becomes a lasting memory.
First, prepare two enlarged copies of your teacher’s face photo.
Cut one of them into separate facial parts to use as the pieces for Fukuwarai.
On the other copy, color in the features like the eyes and nose with a light peach-colored pen or similar.
Once that’s done, it’s just like regular Fukuwarai! Put on a blindfold and place the parts onto the teacher’s face.
Will you be able to put together your beloved teacher’s face properly?
flash mob

Have you ever encountered a scene where people around you suddenly start dancing in the middle of the city? A “flash mob” is when a large number of people, gathered through social media or word of mouth, secretly coordinate and then suddenly start dancing in a public space.
They’re often used for happy occasions like marriage proposals or expressing gratitude that’s hard to say in everyday life.
Many women might even think, “I’d love to be proposed to like this!” If elementary school kids did a flash mob to thank their teachers or their parents who take care of them every day, the adults would surely be moved to tears.
It can be embarrassing to express your gratitude face-to-face, but doing it together like this could create a fun, unforgettable memory.
Body percussion

Body percussion, where you tap different parts of your body to the rhythm to make sounds, is also a great idea! If you’re planning to perform songs or dances with friends, you’ll need to coordinate schedules and practice together, but with this idea, you can practice alone and still sync up on the day! When choosing a song, performing something that was popular in your elementary school days or a piece your class did at a choral contest or music recital will add a sense of nostalgia and is sure to get everyone excited! The audience can join in with clapping, too, which creates a sense of unity and will make for a wonderful appreciation party!
