A “silhouette quiz” is where you try to recognize your favorite characters just from their outlines.

Some characters, like Doraemon or Pikachu, have very distinctive silhouettes, but it’s also fun to do it using only characters from a single series or a popular anime.

There are lots of silhouette-quiz videos out lately, so pick ones you like or that fit your available time.

It takes a bit of effort to make the questions, but doing it with everyone’s own silhouettes could be really challenging and a great way to liven things up.

Telephone game

Playing telephone with a big group was insanely hard lol

The “telephone game” doesn’t require any tools.

It’s easy to play, yet it always gets everyone excited.

The more people you have, the harder it gets.

Since you can only hear the message once, listen carefully so you don’t pass it on incorrectly.

Then you tell the next person—but if you make even a small mistake, the sentence can change hilariously.

You really come to understand that even simple sentences don’t get conveyed well when there are many people.

It’s also fun to analyze where along the way the message went wrong!

Fruits Basket

Fruits Basket / Freshman Orientation 2011

Fruit Basket is a classic game many of us have loved since we were little.

Even though it’s simple and we’ve played it forever, it’s one of those games that really gets everyone fired up.

You place chairs in a circle with one fewer chair than the number of players, and everyone moves at the signal of the person standing in the middle.

Players are divided into fruit groups, and when a fruit is called, that group moves.

There’s also a variation where you don’t divide into groups and instead play using questions.

For example, it’s fun to call out easy-to-see prompts like “People wearing white socks” or “People wearing skirts.”
