It’s a character song from Kurata Uso’s manga Yuri Danshi, sung by Jun Fukuyama, who played the protagonist Keisuke Hanadera in the drama CD.
It’s funny how serious the tone of the music is compared to what the lyrics are about… or maybe this burning passion is actually quite relatable.
I feel like there’s something that goes beyond labels like “because I’m an otaku.” This feeling people call “oshi” (to support or stan someone) might be exactly this, don’t you think?

Released in 2003 and a massive hit, Ai Otsuka’s track “Sakuranbo.” This is a cover version by the mixture rock band Omedetai Atama de Naniyori, and… after that cute intro, it suddenly shifts into a loud, heavy section.
“This isn’t what I expected!”—you might actually blurt that out the first time you hear it.

“Shikkoku ni Odoru Kodaku Haō-bushi” looks ominous written out, but in reality the song has a traditional ondo rhythm.
If you listen, you’ll understand why it ends with the character for “bushi” (festival tune) — the irresistibly danceable groove is adorable.
