What’s inside the box?

A classic on variety shows: the “What’s in the box?” quiz.
It’s a game where you guess what’s inside the box using only your sense of touch, without looking.
Gather lots of different textures—wobbly, slimy, rough, and more! Items children encounter in their daily life at the preschool may be easier to guess.
If a child is easily scared or very cautious, have an adult do it together with them to provide reassurance.
It’s an exciting, suspenseful game to watch as well, so everyone can have fun together.
Optical Illusion Quiz

This is a trick-picture quiz that uses shapes and colors to create optical illusions.
Let’s enjoy it together at the thank-you party using a projector and more.
Once you know the answer it seems easy, but when you don’t, you can’t see it at all—so you can have fun discussing and puzzling it out with the people around you!
Odd-one-out quiz

How about giving a quiz themed around familiar places in the facility or the park that the children know well? It can spark reminiscing and will surely liven things up.
What I’d like to suggest is a spot-the-oddity quiz.
In this quiz, you look at a photo and identify what feels off in it.
For example, the drain on the drinking fountain they usually use might be missing.
You may need to edit photos to create the questions.
You can do the photo editing with smartphone apps, so give it a try.
Sketchbook Quiz

Let’s flip through a few pages and take a peek! Here are some sketchbook quiz ideas.
They’re fun prompts that spark kids’ imaginations based on the visible clues.
Use the drawings and colors in the sketchbook as hints and give the quiz a try! Asking “What is it?” or “I wonder what this could be?” will surely deepen communication with friends and classmates.
Quizzes that incorporate visual elements are memorable and exciting.
Give them a try!

opposite words

Would you like to try a quiz on antonyms? Antonyms are words that have opposite meanings.
For example, “thick” and “thin,” or “big” and “small.” Let’s use illustrations of various colors and shapes as hints while we think about the answers.
Not only is it fun to respond, but it can also help boost motivation for language learning.
You can use videos on YouTube, or try working with illustrations and cards.
Silhouette Quiz

Let’s handcraft a sketchbook theater and enjoy a silhouette quiz.
In the video, the motif is a squirrel, but you can switch to animals kids love—like rabbits or cats—and have just as much fun.
If you’re doing this at a thank-you party, make sure it’s easy for a large audience to see, such as by projecting the sketchbook onto a screen.
Shapes of objects can seem clear, yet we often don’t look as closely as we think and our impressions can be vague.
The children might be able to answer faster than adults.
Let’s all enjoy it together.
Animal Sounds Quiz

Try to see how many you can get right! Here’s an idea for an animal sound quiz.
Listen to animal sounds and think, “Which animal is this?” and answer! For example, sounds like a dog’s “woof-woof” or a cat’s “meow” are easy to recognize, right? A variety of animals will be featured, so it could be fun to compete and see how many you can identify correctly.
As a variation, you could also show pictures of the animals and have the children imitate the sounds as they answer.
