Animal Sound Quiz

Here’s an idea for an animal sounds quiz.
Participants listen to various sounds and guess which animal they belong to.
Prepare a wide range—from familiar animals like dogs and cats to those we don’t often hear, such as lions and elephants.
You might discover, “So that’s what they sound like!” This quiz won’t just be fun; it can also spark an interest in animals.
Try finding the sounds on platforms like YouTube.
What does this look like?
@omiyamichinoko Let's think outside the box! What does this look like? I suddenly gave the teachers a prompt to try!#Omiya Michinoko Nursery School#Nursery schoolNursery teacher / Childcare workerNursery school teacherTranslationChildcare studentFun workplace

Show them the prompt and have them guess what it looks like.
A stuffed animal works well as the prompt, too.
With the call, “What do you think this is?”, the children will think hard and give lots of answers.
Once many answers are out, reveal the correct answer.
Knowing the answer will likely make the children even more excited.
There is a correct answer, but it’s also fine to treat all of their answers as correct.
Let’s use the quiz to bring out the children’s rich imaginative thinking.

How closely do you pay attention to your favorite friends? Here are some ideas for a “Whose Belongings Is This?” quiz.
The time children spend with their friends is an irreplaceable treasure.
Try this quiz to deepen the bonds between friends even more.
It’s a fun idea that strengthens friendships.
By recognizing each other’s belongings, you’ll test observation skills and closeness—and guaranteed, it will spark conversation.
Expanding the quiz’s scope or adding hints will make it even more exciting.
It can also be a great opportunity to boost communication at a farewell party.

♪ Original Song – Papa and Chimari’s Room [Parent-Child Comedy] – Papa and Chimari’s Room [Parent-Child Comedy]
This is a classic, crowd-pleasing animal quiz.
There aren’t any strict rules, so try asking questions about animals.
You could guess the animal from its characteristics or answer fun trivia about animals—there are lots of possible formats.
You could also give it a riddle-like feel, or have participants draw their answers as illustrations.
Try creating the perfect quiz tailored to different ages and preferences.
For a more unique twist, you can make it a team competition or use buzzers.
Hiragana Quiz

An idea for a hiragana quiz that lets you learn hiragana like a game.
On a screen or on paper, you look for the odd one out among a set of hiragana characters.
For example, imagine a row of き with a single さ mixed in.
I’d like learners to approach it like a spot-the-difference activity, thinking, “Where’s the odd one out?” Then gradually make it more complex by moving from characters to words and increasing the number of characters.
It’s also great because everyone can work together cooperatively.
Who am I?

“Who am I?” is a quiz where you give about three characteristics of the answer and have participants deduce it from those hints.
The subject of the answer can be anything! If you’re doing it at an appreciation party, choosing a teacher or a place or object everyone knows will liven things up.
You can also use a child’s favorite anime or something from nature that everyone recognizes for fun.
You can explain the hints using a microphone, but projecting them onto a screen with a projector makes it easy to understand even in a large venue.
Hint Quiz

If you’re looking for a more game-like quiz, I recommend a hint quiz.
In this format, players rely on hints that are revealed over time to guess the correct answer.
For example, you can gradually provide clues that get closer to the core, such as “a red food,” “a round shape,” or “starts with the syllable ‘ri’.” It’s also a good idea to add a rule where answering with fewer hints earns more points.
Since players keep inferring the answer from the hints, imagination and creativity are key.
