Hit and popular songs by w-inds. (Winds)

I’ve put together a playlist of songs by w-inds., a three-member dance-vocal unit.

When they debuted, w-inds.

were active as the junior group to the dance-vocal unit DA PUMP, and DA PUMP’s KEN actually handled some of their choreography.

They have released works and performed live not only in Japan but across various Asian countries, winning awards in multiple nations.

Their group’s image color is blue, which is said to be inspired by the color of the Japan national soccer team’s uniform.

Please enjoy the songs of w-inds., who continue to shine across the seas.

w-inds. Classic and Popular Songs (1–10)

Boom Word Upw-inds.

The 36th single by w-inds.

It was first performed at their 15th anniversary concert.

A cool, mature dance number reminiscent of the ’90s.

It was chosen as the April theme song for Nippon TV’s morning information program “Sukkiri.”

Night Flight?w-inds.

Night Flight?w-inds.

It’s an answer song to “Baby Maybe,” which is included on the second album.

In “Baby Maybe,” he tells his girlfriend goodbye to pursue his dreams, while this song tells the story of the protagonist—still hung up on her—coming back on a night flight.

Long Roadw-inds.

This is another song that’s very popular among fans and even reached number one on the Oricon charts.

At the time, it was also used in a commercial for Bourbon’s “Apple Gum.” The tune is very fresh and easy to get into, and the lyrics are positive, giving you a gentle push forward.

w-inds.’s classic and popular songs (11–20)

Beautifulw-inds.

A song provided by Sukima Switch.

It was originally slated for release with an acoustic-style arrangement by Sukima Switch, but it was rearranged because it didn’t suit the vocalist Keita.

For w-inds., it was their first single with a Japanese title.

Fragment of a Promisew-inds.

The 17th single by w-inds.

It is their first Christmas song; however, instead of being a cheerful Christmas tune, it’s about heartbreak.

The candles featured on the cover were created by candle designer Candle JUNE.

SOMEHOWw-inds.

A song included on the second album, “THE SYSTEM OF ALIVE.” After hearing about the person they like and their past heartbreak, the narrator feels conflicted—thinking, “If it were me, I’d never make you feel that way”—yet it’s still an encouraging, positive song meant to cheer that person on.

NEW PARADISEw-inds.

The seventh single by w-inds.

It’s the song they performed at their first appearance on the Kōhaku Uta Gassen.

True to its title’s Japanese meaning, “New Paradise,” it’s a lively, Latin-inspired track.

It incorporates many rap parts by members Ryuichi and Ryohei.
