元ウェザー・リポートのベーシスト、アルフォンソ・ジョンソンのジャパンツアー！
ウェザー・リポートの２代目ベーシストであり、アルバム『ミステリアス・トラヴェラー』の “Scarlet Woman”などの名曲や、サンタナやビリー・コブハムとの共演でも知られる氏。
今年、セルジオ・メンデスのツアーを終えての彼の新しいグループは、ギターにバンド“ヨーロッパ”のギタリストでありルベン・フォードらとも共演するフランク・リッチ。キーボードにプログレから歌ものまで、LAを中心に活躍するゲイリー・フクシマ。そしてドラムには押しも押されぬ実力の若手ドラマー・川口千里。

Alphonso Johnson<Bass,Composer>
Alphonso Johnson is an iconic musician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania whose contributions with the electric bass set the landscape of music to come. As Weather Report’s bassist, Johnson’s warm tone and fluent chops contributed to the band’s initial breakout from avant-garde into funk fusion. His playing was featured on the songs “Mysterious Traveler”, “Scarlet Woman”, and “Cucumber Slumber” which he co-wrote. Alphonso played with the group Santana and also toured with saxophonist Wayne Shorter, pianist James Beard, drummer Rodney Holmes, and guitarist David Gilmore playing S.R.O. shows that stretched across Europe and Japan. Johnson has taught all over the world and in 2004 was appointed Associate Professor of Music at the University of Southern California.

Frank Ricci(G)
Frank Ricci is a guitarist, composer, teacher and writer. The career of Francesco aka “Frank” Ricci began in October 2008, when he is on a mini-tour and in the studio with Kee Marcello, historical guitarist of Europe, the Swedish band who came to worldwide success in the 80s with “The Final Countdown”. During his career he has also played with Robben Ford, Tony Esposito, Paul Gilbert, Stuart Hamm, Andy Timmons, Alphonso Johnson, Chester Thompson, Don Airey (Deep Purple keyoboard player), and many others. His latest works are three videoclips made with Fiona May (the famous world champion of long jump), Paola Barbato (Dylan Dog screenwriter), and the Prof. Tombesi (NASA). In these works, frank is both actor and music composer.

Gary Fukushima(Key)
GARY FUKUSHIMA is a keyboardist and composer in Los Angeles. He has performed throughout the United States, South America, and Asia with Alphonso Johnson (Weather Report), Blue Note singer/songwriter Priscilla Ahn, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and many others. He leads his own progressive electronic jazz group, GF3, which released their debut EP, Preludes, Vol. 1, in 2018, with Preludes, Vol. 2 set for release in 2019. A native of Seattle, Washington, he relocated to Southern California in 2003 and is currently active in the Los Angeles music scene, having recorded and performed with many esteemed musicians including Chester Thompson, Mike Stern, Ndugu Chancler, John Daversa, Anthony Jackson, Gilad Hekselman, Mark Ferber, Nick Mancini, Steve Cotter, Federico Ramos, Jeff Clayton, Mike O’Neill, Joe La Barbara, Larry Koonse, Matt Otto, Darek Oles, Ralph Alessi, Kathleen Grace, Peter Epstein, Abe Lagrimas, Jr., Ben Wendel, and Roy McCurdy. He is on the faculties at California State University, Northridge, Pasadena City College, and the Pasadena Conservatory of Music, and he writes regularly about jazz, having his words published in Downbeat Magazine, LA Weekly, LA Jazz Scene, and other journals.

川口千里(Ds)

1997年、愛知県生まれ。5歳でドラムを始め、8歳から「手数王」こと菅沼孝三氏に師事している。 「YouTube」でのドラム演奏動画は世界中から注目され、その総再生回数は現在およそ4,000万回。 また、世界的なドラム関連サイト「ドラマーワールド」で世界のトップドラマー500人に選ばれた 日本人二人の内の一人でもある。2013年、若干16歳で待望の1stアルバム「A LA MODE」をリリース。 2014年6月にはLAでレコーディングされた2ndアルバム「Buena Vista」をリリース。 2016年12月にはサウンドプロデュースにフィリップ・セスを迎え,LAでコレーディングした待望のメジャーデビューアルバム 「CIDER ~Hard&Sweet~」をキングレコードからリリース。レコーディングメンバーで行った公演は雑誌「JAZZ JAPAN」で 2017ベストライブパフォーマンスに選ばれる。現在はライブやスタジオワークなど国内外を問わず多彩に活躍中。
