We’d like to introduce some popular songs by 10-FEET, a three-piece rock band from Kyoto Prefecture.

Their appeal lies in the human weakness, strength, and kindness expressed in their lyrics.

On top of that, they’re straightforwardly cool—they embody a wide range of charms.

Brimming with such charm, they are now based in their hometown of Kyoto, but there was a time in the past when they moved their base to Tokyo.

It’s said that the discussion where they decided to head to Tokyo took place in the meeting space at the back right of Studio Rag’s Kitashirakawa location.

Ao10-FEET

Shifting abruptly from a heavy piano melody to an explosive, emotion-charged rock sound, it strikes straight at the heart! Released in March 2021 as 10-FEET’s 20th single, it served as the opening theme for the drama “Byplayers: 100 Days in the Forest of Supporting Actors.” TAKUMA says the “youthful rawness” and “transience” he poured into the song form its core, born from the closed-off atmosphere of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Struggling through an uncooperative reality and charging ahead with reckless determination—it’s like pure youth itself.

If you listen to it while facing something head-on, it will surely give you a push forward.

It’s included on their fifth album, VANDALIZE.

In contrast to 10-FEET’s characteristically fast-paced, exhilarating sound, the lyrics are somewhat bittersweet.

The song conveys the vulnerability glimpsed within the strength of guitarist-vocalist TAKUMA, along with his warm humanity.

Fin10-FEET

This is the track that also serves as the title of 10-FEET’s eighth album, “Fin,” released in November 2017.

It was chosen as the opening theme for the TV Tokyo drama “Byplayers,” leaving a strong impression on many viewers.

Created as the band marked its 20th anniversary and roughly five years since their previous release, this work was a milestone.

Vocalist TAKUMA approached it with the resolve of “this being the last,” and that tension gave rise to a truly unique sound.

The driving, exhilarating melody—almost as if themed around endings and beginnings—will surely give a powerful push to anyone striving to accomplish something.

The first track from the single released in 2017, 10-FEET’s 10th anniversary year.

Unlike their upbeat songs that hype up crowds at outdoor festivals, this piece is captivating for its beautiful melody and heartfelt lyrics.

The piano takes a more prominent role than in their other tracks, giving a sense of a fresh challenge.

The music video is a highly impressive work, featuring extras recruited from among the fans.
