[July 2025] CM Song Summary (21–30)
Shine in the cruel nightLiSA

This commercial set in Tokyo Station is a collaboration ad between Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Spotify.
Comparing Tokyo Station’s labyrinthine interior—often called a dungeon for its complexity—to the Infinity Castle, it humorously depicts a woman visiting from Kansai who gets lost.
She seems to be meeting someone, but can’t find the exit she’s aiming for and laments, “This place is the Infinity Castle!” It’s both a little pitiful and quietly amusing.
The BGM features Shine in the Cruel Night, the theme song for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle Arc, sung by LiSA.
Many fans were likely moved by the lyrics, which seem to express the feelings of Tanjiro and his friends as they fight demons with hope in their hearts.
The Theory of HappinessShiina Ringo

Titled “The Day I Cooked for the First Time,” this commercial depicts, in softly drawn illustrations, a child taking on the challenge of cooking with their mother for the very first time.
Watching it likely brought back memories of your own first attempt at cooking.
The series features its signature touch: children’s voices singing ‘Koufukuron’ (A Theory of Happiness).
The original song was Shiina Ringo’s debut single, released in 1998.
Its lyrics—chronicling the earnest struggle to protect someone precious—are captivating, and many people were moved by them at the time of release and continue to be moved even now.
[July 2025] CM Song Compilation (31–40)
SO BADKing Gnu
Takumi Kitamura, playing an office worker, is lost in thought in an elevator, pondering, “What is the right way to live?” Before he knows it, he’s surrounded by zombies.
He bolts out of the elevator to escape, only to find himself in USJ teeming with zombies.
As he flees in a panic, he realizes, “Life needs days that aren’t normal—days when you can’t stay sane!” In the climax of the commercial, the tagline “Lose your sanity” appears as Kitamura dances among the zombies.
The BGM for the CM is “SO BAD,” selected as the theme song for the 2025 Halloween Horror Nights’ Zombie de Dance.
Since only a portion is featured in the CM, you’re eager to hear the full track as soon as possible, right?

This commercial promotes the appeal of “maze-mayo,” where you mix Kewpie Mayonnaise with your favorite seasonings or ingredients.
It conveys that combining various things expands the possibilities of flavor, and that Kewpie Mayonnaise pairs well with just about any taste.
The visuals are simple—showing only mayonnaise, seasonings, and the spoon that mixes them—which in itself conveys confidence in the flavor.
The background music is also key: the light, buoyant sound layered with cheerful chorus gives the impression of excitement.
You like whisky, don’t you?Noda Yojiro

This commercial portrays a relaxed moment with a bottle of Suntory Whisky Kakubin nearby, captured with a cinematic mood.
True to its title, “That Detour Leads to Happiness,” it conveys the importance of occasionally taking a breather by making a detour—and the wish for Kakubin to be there to support that.
The song that further elevates the relaxed atmosphere and gentle air of the visuals is Yojiro Noda’s “Uisukii ga, Osuki desho” (“You Like Whisky, Don’t You”).
The performance stands out as a stripped-down, singer-with-guitar rendition, and the tenderness is clearly expressed not only in the sound but also in the vocals.
Les Champs-Élysées

This commercial portrays the refreshing feel of Kirin Ichiban Shibori and the joy of having a delicious beer through a conversation between sisters in an airport lounge.
The sisters are played by Hikari Mitsushima and Marie Iitoyo, and the storyline—where the younger sister looks out for her older sister—conveys a sense of warmth.
The song that beautifully highlights the gentle, warm atmosphere of the visuals is “Les Champs-Élysées.” The brass-centered sound is striking, and its brilliant resonance effectively expresses a sense of hope and exhilaration for what lies ahead.
CopacabanaBarry Manilow

This commercial boosts your desire to give sugar-free Hyoketsu a try by showing Asami Mizukawa and Hayato Isomura speaking passionately about what makes it so great.
The fact that they share their thoughts on a breezy seaside set is another key point, letting you feel the refreshing quality of Hyoketsu.
The song that further emphasizes the crisp, refreshing atmosphere conveyed by the visuals is Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana.” Its dynamic Latin rhythm leaves a strong impression, conveying not only a fun vibe but also a sense of passion.
