Ghost Candy Bag

Ghost Candy Bag: Easy to make with a paper cup! It’s a handmade candy bag for holding treats. As a bonus, we’ll also introduce a jack-o’-lantern! Halloween craft!
Ghost Candy Bag

Let’s make a candy bag that looks great despite the simple steps.

First, cut off the rim of a paper cup and mark the drinking side so it’s divided into 16 sections.

Then draw straight lines from each mark down to the bottom of the cup, and make cuts along those lines with scissors.

Finally, take each strip that forms and tuck it into the neighboring slit, folding as you go—repeat this for all the strips.

That completes the main body of the candy bag.

To finish, use tape to attach the rim you cut off at the beginning to make a handle, and draw a ghost face on the body.

Done! It’s a practical craft you can use to hold candy or as a small container.

Here’s how to make a ghost bag by threading a string through construction paper.

Fold the construction paper in half and cut it into a ghost silhouette, then use a hole punch to make eight holes.

Tape the end of the string, thread it through the holes, and tie it.

Pass the string from front to back in sequence, and once you’ve threaded all the holes, tie the string to secure it.

Draw illustrations with crayons or pens, and your bag is complete.

Letting children draw freely can spark their creativity.

It’s also fun to change the color and shape of the paper to make items like jack-o’-lanterns or bats.

When you think of Halloween, the image of kids saying “Trick or treat” to get candy really stands out.

This mini candy bag is perfect for that moment.

Cut off the rim of a paper cup, put in your favorite treats, and seal both ends.

Open the lid and set the cut-off rim in place to make a handle, then draw illustrations on the cup to finish.

You can draw ghosts or bats on a plain paper cup, or use Halloween-themed paper cups you can buy at 100-yen shops.

Here’s how to make a cute, puffy 3D ghost bag using a store-bought paper bag.

Prepare a paper bag, cotton stuffing, and a plastic bag or food storage bag.

The steps are very simple: cut one side of the paper bag into a ghost shape with scissors.

Then, fill a plastic or storage bag with cotton, place it inside the paper bag, and attach it so it fills the ghost-shaped cutout from the inside—that’s it! After that, draw the face parts and decorate around it to make it even nicer.

In the video, the ghost is made with white cotton, but it would also be fun to cut out a mummy shape, or use colored cotton to make a pumpkin or a bat!

Candy basket made from cardboard

Even though it’s made of paper, this candy bag looks adorably stitched like fabric—want to try making a cute pumpkin version? First, draw a pumpkin on construction paper to create a template.

Next, use the template on cardboard and cut out two identical pieces.

For the bottom, use a long, narrow strip of cardboard: wrap it along the pumpkin’s side to measure the length, then cut it.

Once that’s done, feel free to draw decorations on the pumpkins and the bottom piece! When you’re finished, use an awl to punch holes at 1 cm intervals along the outer edge of the pumpkins and at both long edges of the bottom strip.

Attach paper string or yarn to the tip of a toothpick and stitch the pumpkins and the bottom together.

Add a ribbon for the handle, and you’re done! It looks just like it’s made from fabric—super cute!

Triangle Ghost Bag

For a container to hold candies, chocolates, and other treats, I recommend the Triangle Ghost Bag.

Cut a sheet of construction paper into a fan shape and apply glue to one edge, then roll it into a cone.

Attach tape to the inside to create a handle.

Add the eye pieces and mouth piece cut into semicircles, as well as both hands made from construction paper.

Decorate with stickers or crayons, and the bag is complete! Since it’s an inverted triangle-shaped bag, it can hold lots of small-sized treats, which is a nice bonus.

This candy bag is perfect for holding and carrying Halloween treats.

Stick double-sided tape to the top and bottom of a rectangular piece of craft paper, then make slits with scissors.

Fold along the slits, peel off the tape backing, and attach the paper to two round pieces of craft paper.

Punch two holes with a hole punch, thread a ribbon through, and tie it.

Fold red nonwoven fabric into the inside of the craft paper, then tie both ends of the craft paper with ribbon.

Finally, apply double-sided tape to the inner craft paper, decorate with items like pom-poms, and you’re done.
