Mystery Box

Mystery Box

Have you decided on your Halloween game yet? Today we’re introducing the Mystery Box—a guaranteed crowd-pleaser for any Halloween party.

In this thrilling game, players put their hand into a box and try to guess what’s inside just by touch, without looking.

One side of the box is semi-transparent, so face that side toward the audience so they can see the contents! It’ll be even more exciting if the kids watching give hints to the player.

It’s a heart-pounding, suspenseful, and super fun game.

Laminated Theater: Trick or Treat

Laminated Theater: Trick or Treat

Let me introduce a laminated theater for Trick-or-Treat.

For Halloween, there are various costumes prepared, such as a pirate, ninja, clown, and Superman.

We’ll use an Amida lottery to decide which costume the little fox will wear.

After changing into the costume, the fox carries a pumpkin bag and visits the homes of friends like the rabbit and the mouse.

When the magic words “Trick or treat!” are spoken, the transformed friends give wonderful presents.

One of the great things about laminated theater is that you can perform it at the children’s pace.

Please enjoy the interactive back-and-forth with the kids as you put on the show!

Costume Fashion Show

When you think of Halloween, don’t you picture dressing up as the main event? Watching adults in elaborate costumes is fun, but kids look absolutely adorable when they incorporate costumes like ghosts and zombies, too.

How about holding a fashion show with everyone in costume? Create a makeshift runway in a classroom or gym, play some background music, and make it feel like a real fashion show! It’s exciting to imagine what kinds of poses the kids will strike.

Glove Theater: The Greedy Little Ghost

Glove Theater: The Greedy Little Ghost

If you want to enjoy Halloween with children, we recommend a guessing game where you match the contents of the refrigerator to the song “Kuishinbo Obake” (The Gluttonous Ghost).

A “glove theater,” where you stick ghosts and foods onto a glove, is fun too, but this video shows how to make a slightly larger and easier-to-use “fan theater.” This version is easier to make even if you’re not good at fine, detailed work.

Also, the “Kuishinbo Obake” song is super cute, making it a great theme even for kids who find ghosts scary.

A little ghost coming out of a box

Here’s an entertainment idea where you can enjoy a ghost popping out of a box.

When you place a ghost illustration inside the box, a three-dimensional ghost appears.

You can perform various tricks, such as making the ghost’s hands move or having it bring items.

Prepare a divider board and a puppet inside the box, and cut out a section on the back of the box.

From a position hidden from the audience, reach in and move the ghost freely.

Asking the children, “Where’s the ghost?” or having everyone call out to summon the ghost will get the crowd excited.

It’s a program that will build excitement for the Halloween event to come.

Paper Plate Theater: Happy Halloween

Here’s an introduction to a Halloween paper plate theater! Stack two paper plates with pictures of pumpkins and sweets, and when you spin them around, they magically transform into something wonderful! In the end, even the boy, the girl, and the house transform too.

It’s exciting to spin the plates and see what appears next, isn’t it? While cherishing the children’s sense of excitement, try performing by turning the plates with a lively rhythm.

Teachers will feel excited too, wondering what answers the children will come up with.

This mysterious and fun paper plate theater—be sure to give it a try!

How about trying the “Yo-kai Exercise No.

1,” which became a hit as the ending theme of the anime Yo-kai Watch? Since it’s based on yo-kai, it’s perfect for Halloween.

If you cosplay as the characters, it might create an even better vibe! There are probably more kids now who don’t know “Yo-kai Exercise No.

1.” That could make it feel fresh as a new song to dance to.

It’s also great as a warm-up before playing! On Halloween day, let’s put on costumes and give it a try.
