Create a soft, gentle vibe! Here are some ideas for plump, three-dimensional butterflies.
Some butterflies have an elegant, beautiful image, while others feel cute and charming! This time, let’s make plump, 3D butterflies that are perfect for creating a cute look.
All you need is origami paper and scissors.
There’s a step where you round off the corners of the paper with scissors, so it’s best to work together with a teacher or guardian for safety.

A quirky shark that folds and flips! Here’s how to make a shark using just one sheet of origami paper.
All you need is one sheet of origami paper in your favorite color, plus decorations for the eyes and mouth.
First, fold the paper into a triangle twice.
Using the corner as a pivot, fold one side up to meet the center, then fold the tip down along the crease.
Repeat the same folding on the other side, layering it neatly.
Finally, decorate the shark’s eyes and mouth to finish.
It’s also cute if kids draw the eyes and mouth with crayons, so that’s highly recommended!

It’s just like a real bug cage! Let me share an idea for making and displaying a paper bug cage.
You’ll need light blue origami paper, yellow-green origami paper, scissors, glue, and a white pen.
This idea features making separate parts—the handle, lid, and basket—and then gluing them together.
When you assemble them, align the crease lines to stick them on straight.
You can also adjust the colors of the origami to match any bug cage you have at home or in the classroom.
Give it a try!

Rabbit amulet

A gift for someone special! Here are ideas for making a rabbit charm with origami.
You’ll need origami paper in your favorite colors, white origami paper cut into 7.5 cm squares, white round stickers, colored pens, thread, tape, and glue or double-sided tape.
It’s perfect not only as a charm for yourself, but also as a gift for someone you care about.
Make the charm with colorful origami, and use the white paper and stickers to have a cute little rabbit peeking out! By decorating it with thread and tape, you can create a practical and lovely charm.
Sitting bunny
Cute whether you stand it up for display or decorate a flat surface like a card! Let me show you an idea for a sitting bunny.
All you need to prepare is a single sheet of origami paper in your favorite color.
Its neat, simple, and charming finish is part of the appeal.
Since you can make it with just one sheet in a color you like, preparation is easy and it’s simple to work on during activities.
The finished bunny can stand on its own, adding a festive touch to your room.
It also looks great glued onto flat surfaces like cards or construction paper.
The folding steps aren’t too difficult, and once you master them, you can enjoy making it with friends.
rice ball

With spring’s arrival, many preschools and kindergartens likely enjoy field trips and longer strolls.
Here’s an origami idea to go with that theme: how to fold a rice ball (onigiri).
Prepare a sheet of black origami paper to represent the nori (seaweed).
Fold it in half twice into a square to make creases, then unfold.
Fold three corners toward the center point.
Flip the paper over, then fold the remaining corner up so its tip meets the center point.
Next, slightly fold the corners to round the shape, and your onigiri is complete! On the small white “rice” area that shows, draw your favorite filling, or add a red round sticker to make it look like an umeboshi (pickled plum) onigiri—it looks delicious.
pinwheel

Let me show you how to make a pinwheel that’s perfect for spring.
We’ll fold it using the basic “two-layer boat” method.
With this method, identical boat shapes appear on the top and bottom; usually you’d fold those together to complete the boat, but since we’re making a pinwheel, stop at the point where the matching top and bottom boats are formed.
Next, create the pinwheel’s blades by folding the bottom-left corner downward and the top-right corner upward—that’s it! It looks super cute in lots of different colors.
Display it in your room to bring in the feeling of a pleasant spring breeze.
