Adult crafts recommended for spring (11–20)
Wreath made from copy paper

This is a spring-perfect wreath inspired by double-flowered cherry blossoms, made by combining copy paper and paper cord.
Fold small, cut pieces of copy paper to create three-dimensional petals, then assemble them into the shape of double cherry blossoms.
Since the wreath will be arranged in a circle, it’s recommended to make flowers in multiple colors, such as white and pink.
The base of the wreath is made from paper cord—bundle and twist it, shaping it while keeping durability in mind.
Finally, attach the blossoms to the base and add decorations like ribbons to complete the wreath.
Cherry blossom bookmark

Let’s make a cherry blossom bookmark for your spring reading! All you need are origami paper, laminating film, a hole punch, and ribbon.
If you can find origami with a cherry blossom pattern, that’s great; if not, you can draw cherry blossoms on plain origami.
Cut the origami into a strip, place it in the laminating film, and laminate it.
Next, use the hole punch to make a hole for the ribbon, thread your favorite ribbon through, and you’re done! It’s also fun to use a cherry blossom–shaped hole punch on the origami.
Enjoy your reading with a spring-inspired bookmark and your favorite book!
kabuto decoration

How about making a kabuto (samurai helmet) decoration for Children’s Day on May 5? First, use Japanese-pattern origami paper to make a triangle, imagining the shape of a kabuto.
Next, use gold origami to create parts that stick out like a rhinoceros beetle’s horns, and attach them to the triangular origami.
Cut white origami into small triangles as well and stick one in the center of the kabuto.
Then, take a square sheet of construction paper that has been folded into a triangle once and opened back up, and glue one wooden stir stick along each of the four edges.
Attach the kabuto you just made in the center.
Finally, add a bow-tied string as decoration and attach another string for hanging on the wall, and it’s complete!
Sakura Candy Bottle

Here’s an introduction to a candy bottle decorated with cherry blossoms.
Prepare a jar of your choice.
First, prepare a piece of fabric you like, cut into a circle about twice the diameter of the jar lid.
Attach felt cherry blossoms and cherry leaves to the fabric.
Fill the jar with your favorite candies, close the lid, then cover it with the fabric circle decorated with blossoms and secure it with a rubber band.
Wrap a ribbon of your choice over the rubber band, and you’re done! Using pink tones throughout will create a springlike, sakura-inspired look.
cotton ball lights

Let’s make vibrant cotton balls to bring a touch of spring into your space.
Inflate small balloons (like those used for water balloons), then wrap them with embroidery thread, jute twine, yarn, or any string in your favorite colors.
Wrap them however you like—leaving gaps is recommended.
Once wrapped, brush on diluted white glue over the entire surface and let it dry.
After it’s completely dry, pop the balloon inside and remove it.
Make several of these, thread them onto a string of lights, and you’re done! Using threads in various colors to create colorful cotton balls will instantly brighten up your room.
Botanical candle

Here’s an idea for botanical candles that gently illuminate your room.
Botanical candles are items that encase dried or preserved flowers within the wax.
Their hallmark is the way the flowers faintly emerge through the wax.
Display one in your room and you’ll be soothed by its beautiful look.
Gather your favorite flowers and give it a try.
You can source the candles and containers yourself, or purchase a ready-made kit.

3D! Cherry Blossom Wreath

The 3D cherry blossoms are so cute! I’ll show you how to make a cherry blossom wreath.
Prepare origami cut into sixteenths.
First, flip a piece over and fold it in half so a corner is facing you.
From the center, fold the left and right corners diagonally upward.
Trim off any parts that stick out with scissors.
Apply glue (or paste) to both ends, hold the middle, and shape the edges.
Press so the tip becomes pointed.
Make six of these, then glue them together into a flower shape.
Next, use green origami cut into sixteenths to make the leaves.
With a corner facing you and the front side up, fold it in half.
Fold the edge up slightly, and make six, imagining a leaf shape.
Make a wreath-shaped backing, attach the flowers and leaves, and you’re done!
