Introducing a handheld fan with rotating blades.

Prepare a paper cup, rubber bands, bamboo skewers, construction paper, a bottle cap, and a large bead.

Cut the paper cup with scissors to create the handle and the blade mount, forming the base.

Poke a hole in the center of the paper cup’s bottom to serve as the blade base.

Thread a single rubber band through the hole in the cup’s bottom, then pass it through a bead and a bottle cap lid, sandwiching the cup between the front and back.

Use two short bamboo skewers as the bases for the propellers: thread and secure each one through the rubber band on both the inside and outside of the cap.

Attach four pieces of construction paper cut into blade shapes around each skewer, centering them on the skewer.

It’s complete! When you spin the propeller on the back, the propeller on the front spins too, turning it into a handheld fan.

Pac-Man-style piggy bank

Nave’s Easy Recycled Craft: How to Make a Pac-Pac Coin Bank
Pac-Man-style piggy bank

Let’s make a fun piggy bank that “chomps” your money! All you need are three things you likely have at home: a milk carton, a straw, and a bamboo skewer.

The steps are simple.

Use the bottom half of the milk carton to create the base container.

Attach a rotating “mouth” section to the base, using a bamboo skewer fixed in place with tape.

Add cute eyes if you like to give it some personality.

When you drop in a coin, its weight makes the opening flip around, so it looks like the bank is eating the money.

It’s a great way to recycle an empty carton, too.

A kaleidoscope like a jewelry box

[This is really beautiful] A new kind of kaleidoscope (?) that looks like a jewelry box, made using a Chip Star container. Recommended as an easy summer vacation craft for lower grades!
A kaleidoscope like a jewelry box

When you think about making a kaleidoscope, you might assume it will take a long time and be difficult, right? But the method I’m introducing today is a brilliant idea you can do quickly with things you have at home.

Make a hole in the lid of a cylindrical snack container to let light in.

Instead of just making a round hole, try a flower shape or something similar for a prettier result—highly recommended.

Stick a piece of clear tape over the hole and color it with a permanent marker from the top.

Wrap the tube with black duct tape, and attach bubble wrap to the end opposite the lid.

If you color the bubble wrap too, you’ll have a colorful, fun kaleidoscope ready to enjoy!

A cute horse made from a plastic bottle

Great for kids’ crafts too! It’s a colorful project finished by repurposing materials that would normally be thrown away.

You’ll need two plastic bottles, a toilet paper roll, tissues, three sheets of colored paper, a pen, scissors, tape, and a thin stick.

In the video, 500 ml bottles are used, but changing the size gives it a different look and makes it more fun.

It’s also a good idea to make it together with a parent or teacher, tailored to the child’s age!

catch-ball machine

[Upcycling Play] Launch and Catch a Ball! DIY Toy <Make It Right Now> [Easy Craft] Toilet Paper Rolls and Paper Plates
catch-ball machine

Let’s handcraft a fun toy that everyone can play with by throwing and catching a ball.

We’ll make an easy toy using items like paper plates, toilet paper cores, tissues, and rubber bands.

Shape a paper plate like a bowl and attach it to a toilet paper core.

Use a toilet paper core with rubber bands pre-attached to create the launcher base.

Crumple tissues into balls and wrap them with tape to make two balls.

Fix one ball to the base, and use the other as the ball to launch.

Now your toy that shoots a ball with a whoosh is complete.

Ask an adult to help with any difficult steps.
